Peter Canero - Has he upset CL ?

Whats occuring with Peter Canero ? He just never seems to get a first team game under CL. I see he's in the Youth/Reserves team at Brackley - he only ever seems to be in the Reserves. He's a (relatively expensive) player with International Caps (u-21 and Full Scottish). He's (apparently ?) had injury difficulties - but he always seems to be playing for the 2nd team !

I think he must have upset the boss here in some way - or has a history of upsetting him in Scotland ! I'm sure he'll be available for transfer at some point in the near future - to a Jocko club no doubt (perhaps as a makeweight in a striker or left back deal) - but why can't he get a game for us ?

He wont play whilst maybury and sylla black perform the way they did last night, they were a class act combination.

Did you guys notice the trick they worked out in the 2nd half.

maybury had the ball 10 yards inside our half, near the dugout toucline. Then sylla guided their left back towards the touchline, then when sylla had taken him as far as he would go, BANG, maybury sent the ball over the top of them and sylla left their left back for dead, brilliant.

caneros got little chance of breaking them 2 up, but sure as eggs are eggs, they wont play all 46+ games, so we`ll need him.

I don't think it's anything to do with Canero upsetting Levein - He did play him in his first few games at the club, despite not being fit.

By all accounts, Canero struggled for fitness throughout last season, and looked a bit of a fatty. I think it's common knowledge that Levein is looking to get rid, which is a shame as he did look to have promise. We've not really seen the best of him, but sometimes there's not much you can do when a player is riddled with injuries and fitness problems.

Levein would prefer Maybury and Stearman ahead of Canero, so it does make sense to remove him off the wage bill, and perhaps strengthen the team at left back or upfront.

No bad blood between Canero and Levein from Leveins time with Hearts. To be honest I don't think Canero is that highly rated up here. I wouldn't have wanted him for the Hearts team when he was with Killie and I still wouldn't want him now.

Unlucky against Celtic and Balde is an animal.
