Kitchandro Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 I felt worse after Cardiff, after we were robbed. I dunno, I was really proud after that game, and I didn't feel so desperate to go up. We'd had a great first season back, the future looked bright, it was a sickener to lose it with THAT penalty and yes we were robbed in both legs in terms of refereeing decisions, but that, in a way, was a comfort to me. I couldn't fault any of the players except you know who. We were the gallant losers, I didnt feel we deserved it, and I felt they didn't deserve what they got either. They were the bottlers, they were a team of villains, and they got lucky. Today, losing in the play-offs is no longer enough. We had a chance to be challenging for the top 2 and we bottled it, I'm just so fed up of this league now. I've been angry at the players for the majority of the last few months, I'm not particularly proud of them. In fairness, they put everything into it today, but we got what we deserved, not just today but over the season. And to top it off, we lost it in the most humiliating way, having it in our grasp, waiting to celebrate, and then ballsing it up and the mood turning full circle. It's just tragic, and massively dents my pride. All the glory and fairytale stuff is with them and we are the villains that invited pressure, dived and got what was coming to us.
fraddonfox Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Totally true. When its your home town club it does mean so much more. Any fvcker can pick a team out of the hat to follow, but win or lose they will never have that feeling like today when football means more than life itself for 90 minutes
