Craig Posted 1 August 2005 Share Posted 1 August 2005 Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed his interest in bringing Uruguay international goalkeeper Sebastien Viera to Highbury.The 22-year-old, who plays for Nacional Montevideo, is highly rated and could take over from the inconsistent Jens Lehmann as the Gunners' number one. Wenger said: "Viera is one of the options. It is true we are interested in him but the deal is far from done." Lehmann and Manuel Almunia failed to convince in goal for Arsenal last term.
