ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 Hi guys! I really hope this isn't too cheeky but I was always told "if you don't ask, you don't get" :: A few months ago we lost a close family friend to cancer. She spent her final few days in the Cynthia Spencer Hospice in Northampton where she was given an amazing amount of care and hospitality both physically and mentally. The hospice looks after terminally ill people, typically cancer patients. I can't explain what a fantastic job they did and continue to do for people in such terrible circumstances but their funding has been cut massively by the government and the care they give depends hugely on fundraisers. In memory of our friend I decided to do something to raise money for this worthy cause. Bit random but I decided to face my vertigo (fear of heights) and abseil down the National Lift Tower in Northampton which stands a colossal 420 feet high :? ... ... Well on Saturday 27th July I did indeed complete the abseil and it petrified me every much as I expected! The only problem I have is that I picked £700 as my fundraising target and I have a shortfall... http://www.justgiving.com/rob-seaton I'm asking you all, if you would like to support this amazing charity then PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEEASE follow this link and give anything you can afford! I'd be so grateful for you help guys and I've included some pictures so you can see I'm not blagging! :: Thank you for taking the time to read my thread at least and if it inspires you to give a small donation to the charity then thank you from the bottom of my heart! http://www.justgiving.com/rob-seaton http://www.justgiving.com/rob-seaton
