Hinckley- new club.

For those who don't know, there was a meeting earlier this month on the future of football in Hinckley. A working group dedicated to sorting affairs out behind the scenes hosted it and was mainly about seeing if there was any interest in staring a new club up. We were joined by a representative from Supporters Direct, a organisation that specialises in assisting supporters in developing Phoenix clubs. He explained the notion of community ownership, basically explaining how fan ownership works and how other clubs has made it work, with example such as Exeter City who have been fan owned for 10 years. The previous(?) owner of Telford was also supposed to be there but was sick.

Fortunately, there was a good show up and everyone was in favour of starting up a new club. It has progressed now and a meeting will be held at the Claredon Club in Hinckley on the 15th January to decide on a new name, as well as opportunities to help the new club. If you're interested it would be great for you to come down and help decide on the name or be involved in the development of a new club.
