Rincewind Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Better off going to the local stables and getting it fresh! Seriously, if you're so desperate that you're rummaging through the bins at ICELAND, you need a ****ing looney-bin, not a prison. Maybe they could use them in their next ad campaign? That's why bums go to Iceland. They are better off though according to some. They used to go to Aldi.
indierich06 Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 They are better off though according to some. They used to go to Aldi. The stuff sold in Aldi is infinitely more nutritious than anything sold in Iceland. Their frozen fare would survive a nuclear holocaust.
Rincewind Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Iceland bin skipping case dropped as prosecuters find latent common sense gene Posted on January 30, 2014 How was it ever in the public interest? DNO would like to thank the boss of Iceland Malcolm Walker for tweeting that the company had played no part in the the arrest of three men arrested for ‘skipping’ food waste and questioning whether it was worth going ahead with the case. It seems this inspired the CPS to put out a call for someone with a modicum of common sense to drop the case and issue some rapidly cobbled together legal euphemisms to justify their action in the first place. Let’s hope they’ll also have a whip round to refund the public purse for the cost of a case they must have recognised would have created a tsunami of ire on two counts in austerity Britain, namely the extent of food poverty and food waste. http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/jan/29/prosecutors-drop-case-men-food-iceland-bins See an article about the case in The Guardian by Amelia Gentleman: Prosecutors drop case against men caught taking food from Iceland bins CPS reverses decision to charge three men after outcry, saying it no longer believes prosecution is in public interest I know the heading is too big. The webmaster is aware and it will be changre when less important things need to ne done. Its all go ATM with news.
Guest MattP Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 I'm still waiting for my thank you from DNO for my charity event with the homeless last week. I must have given £20 away.
