Anish Posted 19 August 2005 Posted 19 August 2005 What a crappy response from Tim, I expected more from him to be honest. Plus he can't even spell 'amongst'. <_<
Foxes_Trust Posted 19 August 2005 Posted 19 August 2005 I don't agree totally with this. The higher up the football ladder you go, the more of a business a football club becomes. There is a conflict of interests between the best way to run the club for the fans, and the best way to run the club as a business. To be able to separate the two, and to be able to make an informed business decision which craps on the fans ideals but is for the best in the long term is a hard thing to do, and I don't think there are many people capable of doing this.I do feel that there should be a voice for the fans, and fully support the idea of any forum as we do need to make our voices and feelings heard, but to include it at boardroom level, to me, could end up being counter-productive. 158767[/snapback] Agreed it takes a person with a range of qualities, particularly those of confidentiality and judgement to perform a role, but there are a number of people within each fan base who are more than capable. Although fans are more loyal customers than most businesses get, those that don't look after their customers will not suceed in the long term. Luckily our LCFC Chief Exec fully appreciates this. It is always beneficial having fans views represented in the board room. In our case the Trust Observer does this at LCFC board meetings, however it doesn't mean the LCFC boad have to act in the way the Observer recommends. Due to confidentiality issues we can't provide details on the topics concerned, but we can say that: a) 2 decisions which would have been taken were reversed following the reaction of the Trust Observer to the proposals b) In one instance a decision taken by the board was never put into practice, being aware of this fact gave us a greater ability to lobby for a certain course of action to take place, albeit very late when it finally happened. c) It provides us the ability to feedback on the performance of LCFC employees at the highest level & we aren't just talking about players. Think about recent non-playing departures & don't underestimate the level of communication we undertook over an extended period to get a result.
Foxes_Trust Posted 19 August 2005 Posted 19 August 2005 Different people react in different ways when being criticised, many put the barriers up & man the trenches. We will be offering advice & suggestions on an ongoing basis to the club over this issue. We have forwarded a couple of alternative pricing options that were posted on message boards over the last week. We are also sure that the new 12 fan consultative group which is being set up & we believe includes some posters on here, will be asked about future match ticket gradings & pricing options. That meets for the first time next week

And I like what I see!
