Stuliasz Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Cambiasso Shines Above the Rest Again lcfcratings.wordpress.com Tuesday 2nd December, 19:45Barclays Premier LeagueKing Power Stadium, Leicester Leicester City 1Mignolet 21′ (og) Liverpool 3Lallana 26′, Gerrard 54′, Henderson 83′ Esteban Cambiasso comfortably took his second man of the match award in as many games thanks to a confident display in midfield despite defeat against Liverpool. The award was given despite a guilt-edged miss in the first half, but it was the distinctly average ratings awarded to other individuals that saw the Argentine claim his third man of the match since signing for City. Marcin Wasilewski, Matty James and Ritchie de Laet were the only other players to edge over average in another display that disappointed the voting supporters. Wes Morgan put in a performance that was probably his worst in a City shirt as Liverpool's clinical finishing twice punished his individual mistakes before he was given his marching orders for a professional foul. Kasper Schmeichel was also to blame for the killer third goal giving him a rating below 4, while Paul Konchesky's score suffered as he largely struggled against his former club. Nigel Pearson's rating climbed slightly as it was clear the team and tactics deployed did not give Liverpool any clear control over the game, and Pearson's options were limited following the Morgan sending off which may explain why this was the only game this season where all three substitutes have not been utilised. Referee Lee Mason and team received a poor vote which may be explained by Mason's failure to issue a card to Raheem Sterling despite multiple failed attempts to win free-kicks for his team by going to ground too easily. Liverpool were rated slightly below average opposition as they continue to recover from a poor season with their second consecutive league win. AKCJ Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Manager confidence UP is something that surprises me.
