  1. I think Mainoo and Tielemans are too similar to work but we'll see I suppose.
  2. It's frustrating that the club don't seem to agree that it's arguably the most important position on the pitch.
  3. Pretty much exactly what United needed. He'll be brilliant for them if they sign Ederson too. Someone who can do the running and ball winning for him. Edit; Misread the tweet, it looks like they're not signing Ederson. They definitely need legs in midfield if they want Tielemans to work to his full potential.
  4. Am I right in saying we've only signed one first choice goalkeeper since 2011?
  5. This confirms that Begovic rejected the contract we offered him then.
  6. Humidity/heat is a non-factor. The game is being played at the Mercedez-Benz stadium in Atlanta and it's fully air-conditioned.
  7. I think we will. I think England will want it to be a very aggressive game. Pickford James Stones Guehi O'Reilly Rice Anderson Saka Bellingham Gordon Kane The wingers are massively important for us given Argentina don't play with wingers and their fullbacks are easily the weakest aspects of their team. Saka and Gordon running at Tagliafico and Molina? Yes please. Back four needs to be nice and compact too. We'll rip these up on the counter attack.
  8. Leeds finished 3rd with an attack of Summerville, Rutter, Piroe, James and Gnonto.
  9. My worry about referees like this is that they flash their cards about to assert dominance and don't let the game flow.
  10. The difference back then was that England had time to acclimatise whereas this time England flew into Mexico City only a couple of days before and played a team that had played every game at that stadium. They say there's 20% less air in Mexico City than at sea level so it was definitely a massive disadvantage for a side that didn't have time to prepare.
  11. I've woken up very confident about this game. I think we beat them with relative ease. Going 3-1. Gordon, Kane and O'Reilly. Messi to cry.
  12. I think he will prefer being a big fish in a smaller pond. Perform well for a big club in Turkey and you get treated like royalty. He doesn't strike me as the type of personality that would choose to knuckle down at a smaller English club.
  13. I went on the website to have a look at the proper picture of it but it's not even on there Still just says coming soon. Side note - the home kit is going for £75
  14. I think Chaplin will be fine for us. But there's definitely a sense of "****ing hell how bad have things gotten" to be at this point.
  15. What hasn't been mentioned is that we're signing the striker that Coventry signed when they were absolute shite.
  16. It'll depend who wins it and what happens in the next two games but I suspect that if France win then it'll be Mbappe, if Argentina win it'll be Messi and if England win it'll be Bellingham. I don't think anyone from Spain has particularly impressed and if they beat Spain then I suspect the POTT will be either Messi or Bellingham.
  17. I do think this is a good signing. Shouldn't be on a stupid wage. Offers good experience and the fans of his previous clubs love him which is always a good thing. We do need a genuine number 9 though.
  18. How have they managed to **** up such an open goal tap in? Only Leicester, honestly.
  19. I’d imagine they’ll keep him next season with a view to him getting first team minutes in the league cup.
  20. Pathetic from the club to let a lad like him enter the last year of his contract. Rudkin just continues to **** up with no repercussions.
  21. I don't think Spain have been particularly impressive. It feels very similar to the last Euros to me where there were 3/4 teams playing well but always one team a huge step above the rest. Back then it was Spain and now it's France. I'm sure England, Argentina or Spain won't get embarrassed by France but I think they'll be fairly comfortable and deserving winners.
  22. Mbappe, Dembele and Olise is very comparable to Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo.
  23. Looks like it doesn't have the sleeve/shoulder lines and there are two white hoops around the neck and cuffs.
  24. Since he was 13/14 he'll have been in football academies and have been told consistently how great he is. Creates these types of egos where they think they're always owed something.
  25. Quansah to serve a two game suspension which would rule him out of a potential tie with Argentina I'm no conspiracy theorist but it's amazing how much is stacking in their favour.
