Head Honcho Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 Why is the transfer deadline not at the start of the season,it seems crazy that teams can lose players six games into a season. The window is of no benefit whatsoever to lower league sides,any player who has a good start to the season will be snapped up straight away.

The window is for other European and World leagues as well. Some of the European leauges have just started and therefore the window is at the end of August.
