Where's the retro badge come from? Is this a rumour or are we just posting fantasy shirts?
Apparently it's something Adidas are doing alongside their retro trefoil logo. Whether we get it or not is a different matter.

This bloke played for the Birmingham City League 1 super team that got something like 110 points yet he could only score once in 25 games.
If this is the level, we're right in the shit.
Although it'll be novel to have an Australian international from Scotland and a Scottish international from Australia on the same team.

Randers, Rennes, PSV and Roma compared to AEK Larnaca, Fiorentina, Shakhtar Donetsk and Rayo Vallecano.
Quite similar strength of competition.
Not sure about that.
We played against the likes of Jeremy Doku, Martin Terrier, Cody Gakpo, Noni Madueke, Tammy Abraham and Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Is there a write up of this or is it just the video?

Barca don't have crazy money, they've been walking a tight rope for a couple of years and could do with calming down their spend.
They've been through all of this process but is £60m crazy money these days?
Plus they're losing about 800k a week off their wage bill with Lewandowski, Rashford, Cancelo and Christiansen leaving.
Their academy has pulled through at the perfect time for them with the likes of Pedri, Yamal, Gavi, Bernal, Lopez, Balde, Cubarsi and Casado coming through in a 4/5 year window. That's probably around a billion quids worth of talent that they've got for free.

Anthony Gordon is a winger that plays exactly as Hansi Flick likes them to play. Extremely direct and fast with an end product.
If he can handle the pressure of playing for a club that has to win trophies then he'll be brilliant for them, I'm sure of it.

Even if they gave me a ticket for free I wouldn't fancy it.
It's going to be a King Power rim-off with the usual types desperate to show how great of a fan they are to their lord and saviour, (a rich nepo baby that couldn't care less about them).

Get him in as a coach IMO. He's got high standards and knows how this club should be run. Players have taken the piss since he left.

Out of interest what team were you all expecting the old guard to play? While I get the frustration around the club at the moment (and rightly so), I don’t get why everyone kicking off over a charity match. You’re not going to get pirlo, zidane and Rooney playing!
I think it really just shows how poorly planned and timed this event is.
It should have been held in one of the early season international breaks.
The bigger clubs in the country have "legends" matches that are held in a similar fashion and there's no reason why Leicester couldn't have played a team of former Chelsea players for instance. It feels like Liverpool play an AC Milan 11 every year.

No, random account BlueTintedLCFC is a highly credible source.
I genuinely assumed this must have moved on from that opening source to warrant a 12 page thread. Bollocks confirmed.

This season is so bad it feels like it was almost personally designed.
The only thing that didn't go to the Devil's script was that Hull scraped that 6th spot and got promoted because of two other clubs ****ing it up over Derby.
Everything else went as badly as it could have done.

Shame to get the confirmation about Jordan James. Someone is going to pick him up for £10m this summer and get a right bargain.
If it’s Cov I’m going head first off the top of holiday inn.

Piggybacking off this thread to ask... does anyone have one of those cracked GBA style handhelds that have loads of games pre-installed on them?
Love retro games and i'm considering buying one to play old GBA games whenever I have a minute to myself and was wondering if they're any good?

Just clocked we're not taking Adam Wharton.

Does that stand out as a potential World Cup winning squad or rather a team with lack of depth in some areas ?
Depends on injuries. The first 11 stands against anyone IMO.
Anything happening to Kane would be game over.

Personally think the following are crazy decisions:
Spence over Alexander- Arnold. Obviously Spence won't be starting games and neither would Alexander-Arnold but who do you want to come off the bench when we're losing to swing crosses in?
Burn over Hall. We don't need 5 centre halves and we have gone into the tournament without an out and out left back. O'Reilly laying left back for Pep doesn't count. He won't look the same in Tuchel's system.
Madueke over Bowen. I think this one is obvious. No chance does Madueke go over Bowen if he played for West Ham and Bowen played for Arsenal.
There are 5/6 that are on that "I can see why he's done that but I wouldn't have taken him" but other than that, it's a good squad.
Huge wake up call needed for Foden and Palmer. 25 and 24 years old and should be in their prime. Two years ago they were the two best players in the league IMO.

Djed Spence over Trent Alexander-Arnold is nothing short of ridiculous.

Morgan Gibbs-White is incredibly hard done by to not be picked. Bang in form as well.
Tuchel making some big calls that don't look like good calls so far
4 assists from 3,000 minutes as a number 10. Nowhere near creative enough IMO.

My squad;
Pickford, Henderson
James, Alexander-Arnold, Konsa, Guehi, Maguire, Stones, Hall, O'Reilly
Rice, Bellingham, Anderson, Wharton, Lewis-Skelly, Mainoo
Saka, Bowen, Rogers, Palmer, Gordon
Kane, Watkins
2 players for each position with an additional attacker in Palmer.
I think picking a 3rd goalkeeper and a 3rd number 9 is a waste of two spots when we know for a fact that Pickford and Kane will play every game that we need them to.
Would much rather get additional legs in midfield by picking Mainoo so we can actually afford to rest Rice properly as well bringing an extra attacking midfielder meaning we can afford to rest Saka and Rogers with little to no drop off.
If it was up to me this would be my squad without question with our best side being;
Pickford
James Konsa Guehi O'Reilly
Rice Anderson Bellingham
Saka Kane Rogers
Runners in midfield, pace in attack, Kane having the freedom to do whatever he wants and an athletic defence. It's coming home.

Get in Robbie Neilson, and be done with it. Let's just show some intent, and crack on ffs
Might be out of the loop here but he's the assistant coach of a Belgian 2nd division team that finished 5th? Why would signing him be a show of intent?
