Mads just played Winks a bad ball. It should have been onto his other foot. Winks should maybe have been stronger as well watching it back. It’ll happen and we potentially need to upgrade on KDH long term, so we’re not so one dimensional from that opposition press.

Fully agree with this. These are by far the best team we’ve played so far.

It’s this situation that is giving us issues. They are allowing us to have the ball on the halfway line. They are picking up Winks and Ricardo, hoping to nick it and turn us over. Then overload on the slow pace of Vestergaard. Fatawu and Mavididi weren’t close enough until the 30th minute-ish. We did change it up.

Mavididi did the same thing to him 3 minutes earlier. I’m assuming they’ve had a lovers tiff.

Look at how Blackburn are marking us. Allowing us to the halfway line, staying loosely close to us. Standing off, allowing us to step up and then looking to counter. The forward players are picking up. Two centre backs. This is going to be a basket ball game if we’re not careful.

I get the feeling he’ll go from the sublimely brilliant, to awful.
