If we had needed this win to stay up we'd have still played exactly like this
We've played like this for 46 games straight
True!

I watched PSG v Bayern earlier in the week. This is nit quite the same.
About as exciting as the other semi final though ….

This feels like a training game

Ricardo with Perez on the right hand side was maybe the his best partnership and when he was at his peak.
Football has no room for sentiment though.
He should have gone 2 years ago.

Some of the people you've put in that ahead of Harry Wilson make me rage
I got half way through and thought may as well just award the space to Italy.

Italy could make it to the WC, after all:

A group of players that haven’t qualified / unselected for main nation.

I’d have been happier if they’d just cancelled this game!

James is our best player.

I think this season his game has suffered as part of the general malaise and negativity around the club. He was stand out in the season we got promoted. In a better environment and with better players he will do well.
It’s interesting if you look at his stats on Sqwarka per 90.
He’s charged from a creator to a finisher really. His overall passing accuracy an involvement in buildup play etc has got worse.
He has been our main goal threat in reality.

With a better manager, a functioning centre forward and other better players in his team he'll thrive
He’d need to be able to sort his fibs ball out first.
He’s chaotic as a player and really needs to be taught to calm down and improve that decision making.
That ball he had time to cross against Millwall and lofted it over everyone to the adjacent corner flag was so poor.

I will add, knowing our academy players likely read this forum, that leaving the academy or youth team, isn’t necessarily the end of their footballing journey.
If you think of the quality of players we have produced during the past 10 - 20 years, quite a few have moved on to play for other clubs in the football.
Some have broken into the first team here, some have had to grind it out elsewhere.
We have done quite well as as an academy setup really.
GK : Iversen, Stolarkzyk, Johnasson, Logan, Young, Smith,
DF : Bassey, Chillwell, Schlupp, Mattock, Moore, Taft, Moore, Knight, Thomas, James, Nelson, Johnson, Wormleighton, Godsmark-Ford, Pascanu, Daley-Campbell, Hughes, Brunt, Elder, Clark,
MF : King, Cluscas, Choudhury, Dewsbury-Hall, Tavares, Leshabela, Alves, Braybrooke, Page, Cover, Cartwright, Ewing, Thomas, Suengchittawan, Watson,
FW : Gradel, McKay, Barnes, McAteer, Marçal, Monga, Evans, Muskwe, Pennant, Ndukwu, Maswanhise, Wright, Dodoo, Eppiah, Shade, Gordon, Hirst
…… and many more no doubt’

1 more game left, then 62 days until we never have to see him in a Leicester shirt ever again (hopefully).

I know it's common sense that all the loan players will leave, all the out on loan players will return, and given relegation, all the out of contract players will be allowed to move on ... but does anyone know when the official statement from the club regards retained and released player lists will be?
It has been the 9th June for the past two seasons.
So 6 weeks time?

I don’t think he will play for a top club. He’s so far of Mahrez it’s untrue.
He is never starting regularly for a Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, PSG, Bayern, Juventus, Madrid, Barca etc. I’m not even sure he’d start for the likes of Forest, Brentford, Brighton, Everton now.I could see him at Spurs, all fart, no shit in reality.
He’s been poor this season and a few highlight reel goals that people see, make for a nice YouTube video, however he is a one trick pony. Cut inside, smash it over the bar 9 times out of 10. He’s Cengiz Under with pace. Against better defenders, I think he will struggle.
He will end up someone like Besiktas, PAOK, Al Etihad etc and just tick along.

I’m sure it’s for some people, which is up to them. It’s not for me. The only reason I still support this club is because of my history with it and loyalty, if this club ceases to exist all of that kind of dies. My dad took my to a Leicester City game at Filbert Street. It would probably be more beneficial for me to back a local smaller club personally but it would never be the same. Football isn’t what it was in the 90s or early 00s for me.
This is where my head is at really.
I’m detached from them as a group of players and as a club currently.
Reality is, I feel like I’m watching as a neutral at times now.

Yes Covid hit them bad but since 2023
I read they recovered most of the losses. They got ripped off by the Airport authority on the deal they done just before Covid. They had to honor the agreement when most Governments were trying to help Companies by adjusting or suspending Payments until things improved.
As I said I don't think money itself is the problem, I think the KP Board have no interest in Football or Leicester.
I guess we'll find out if and when we hear how much they'll put forward this Summer.
Top will receive a big dividend I'm sure but even if he used it all on us is it enough to get things turned around.
The other thing is, does he really care enough?
Much cheaper to run OHL!

Jokes aside;
What age groups do the club run now?

I doubt it's anything to do with the amount of money kp have.
I'd say it's more to do with the fact that the Board don't have any interest in us.
All they've done is pour hundreds of millions each year to just stand still.
Top put 124 million in last year and it just went into a black Hole.
It was Top and Vichai that had our interest. Since the accident that has all changed.
I suspect after this year's KP dividends, Top may well become the major shareholder.
King Power were supposedly bleeding money at one point as well, hence why we were considered a financial black hole.
