I realised after posting this, it was renewed after year one instead of year three. That was my confusion

Yeah, I've re thought about this one now..as it was signed after one year of the contract, rather than added on at the end like most one year extensions are.

Book value would be 0, as he was singed on a three year deal. An extension, or new contract doesnt affect it (I believe?)
