  1. Can't recall seeing that. In fact, i recall Shane telling haye to just put his back to the ropes, roll the punches and just let go when he could. The trainer is the one who controls whether or not his fighter continues, the boxer has no say....so clearly Shane didn't 'try'.
  2. You don't even understand how damaging it is that a trainer can have his decision to pull out his fighter, influenced by said fighter. It shouldn't happen, no exceptions.
  3. Ironic.....given you agreed with my prediction for the Crolla fight, you basically copy and pasted by prediction saying Crolla needed to hurt Linares, and also said that Linares KO was the best price. Keep sitting on the fence. I've predicted both fights correct.
  4. Linares would've KO'd Crolla, if he didn't have as much respect for him as he does.....He visibly took his foot off the gas as soon as he knocked Crolla down. The fact you believe that a trainer could have his opinion changed by his fighter mid fight vastly damages what 'boxing knowledge' you believe you have.
  5. Huh? You don't think it's worrying that a trainer can have his opinion changed by his fighter? You're just arguing with me for the sake of it now
  6. The fact he was persuaded otherwise was even more worrying.
  7. I hope Dirrell is watching this (Well, actually I don't) as it's a perfect example of how to beat a Gallagher fighter. All they do is walk forward with their hands up.....very little technique.
  8. Gallagher really is a s**t trainer. tbf Linares is blowing.....but the sky commentary is a bit of a joke, all 'crolla rounds' have been evens at best.
  9. There's very little value in Linares by points tbh. He's meant to be in better shape than the first fight, where lets face it, he outclassed Crolla. I don't see what Crolla can do tbh......needs a perfect punch, a haye style injury or do something he hasn't throughout the rest of his career. Crolla has to hurt him early to have any chance imo. Linares is the superior boxer.
  10. If you're just betting £20, i'd stick it on Linares KO.
  11. His gameplan has been spot on tbf, morrison has looked lost since round 1
  12. As good as Spence has looked, Algieri is his best win.....How will he look against a big world class welterweight? What does everyone think Brook will do should he win? Surely taking this route means Thurman is his target?
  13. It's odd how given zombie films/tv shows have been 'done to death'. We haven't had a zombie survival game that's been any more than ok.
  14. Wow....Jacobs robbed.
  15. Damn....can't beat Mayweather's record now. Perfect scorecards tbh.
  16. Gonzalez could get stopped here.
  17. Predictions for tonight's main event? GGG by KO for me....but, and it's a big 'but', if GGG is somehow floored, how will he react? (If it's true he's never been on the floor, pro or amateur).
  18. Will be my first time watching Chocolatito tonight....is he worthy of the hype? Apart from Cuadras his record looks pretty average.
  19. pretty sure i heard it mentioned on the commentary during his brothers fights on the undercard of the Andrade fight.
  20. Not sure....would actually be a decent undercard fighter for Klit and Josh tbh. How big is their following back home in Brum? Maybe they could put a show on their with Yafai as the main event.
  21. my top 5 as in favorites? And i still watch the lower weights, just the 'big' fights involving our fighter, as well as world champions. E.g. Santa Cruz v Frampton and Yafai v Conception
  22. I never claimed to be a 'know it all/hardcore' boxing fan...i just had to laugh when you claimed i'd watched like one boxing match in my life . I choose to watch fights based on who is fighting. Like last week with Andrade, i'd never watched the guy before, but a couple of guys told me he was 'the real deal'. But after watching the fight, i can't see me watching one of his bouts again unless i'm wanting to watch his opponent. I've seen the Mcdonnell brothers fight on undercards a couple of times but their style doesn't really excite me in all honesty.....although the Yafai brothers have impressed me, albeit from the little i've seen.....but the performance against conception (sp?) was very impressive and dominant. And my knowledge of bantamweight/flyweight isn't great at all, largely due to the fact that fights at that size, don't really appeal to me.
  23. No idea how Haskins was given the decision over hall, felt sorry Hall tbh. I don't know whether you're mocking my opinion on Ward at heavyweight, but he's certainly interested, and it's probably the biggest fight out there for him. After watching Bellew v Haye do you not think Ward would've beat Haye..or at least been ahead before Haye's injury? The McDonnell fights don't really interest me tbh....I don't go out of my way to watch their fights.
  24. Holding a world title in this day and age does not mean you're 'world level'. Unfortunately this is down to how the ranking system and the politics within the sport....Charles Martin was not world level
  25. Nathan Cleverly.....what top level fighter would actually want to fight him? No $ in it.....although actually, i suppose it could be a stepping stone for Jack, in order to face a Kovalev....but surely Ward will be looking to heavyweight now, I know he hinted after his fight with Kovalev that it is a possibility. Imagine if Hughie Fury beats Parker, i'm sure Ward would take that fight in a heart beat. Fury has little power, but is a decent all round boxer....a perfect heavyweight opponent for Ward to use his speed and 'ring craftsmanship'. Actually...i'd be very interested in seeing Tyson Fury v Ward. Would he be able to do a haye v valuev? Would certainly be an interesting watch.
