  1. no surprise that sky have him up.... He always looks so so average to me. Although, given the build up he's had, i'm surprised he even has the mental strength to want it.
  2. Just look at his record though. He hasn't even fought a mid-top level domestic/european level fighter. It's just been confirmed that the Kurt guy will now fight BJS....meaning a potential future fight with GGG would be possible. Could you imagine Langford against GGG/Jacobs? Its quite clear he's nowhere near world level.....Not many of Warren's boxers are.
  3. No not at all....But i've just viewed Langford's past opponents...... Far too much too soon. Especially when you consider that against those opponents, he only has a 33% KO record.
  4. You surprised?
  5. Just a quick thought on Wilder....what do you guys reckon he should do? I heard Bellew saying earlier he's been in touch. Wouldn't be a bad shout for Wilder....if he's actually willing to stop fighting bums. Take the fight in the UK, build his rep by fighting and most likely beating probably the 2nd most recognisable UK fighter at the moment, then fight the winner of AJ and Klit.
  6. Murray is the favorite for a reason, Rosado's record is awful.....But do you seriously want more fights like this headlining a matchroom show? I've no idea how boxnation had it....I was watching a showtime stream as i can't be doing with Bunce. They had Golovkin up by 1 iirc, clinching the final round. Pretty sure they also had Gonzalez up, despite never putting a dent in his opponent and being hurt multiple times as well as being put down. It's no surprise to see the bias of them backing two of their biggest stars though.
  7. The commentary were continually giving praise to Ryder....so i don't see how that makes a difference. For me, when scoring, i don't credit Ryder for making many of the rounds 'his kind of rounds' on the inside, simply because he didn't make an impact.
  8. Gonzalez was hurt and never troubled his opponent. GGG was outworked and Jacobs controlled the fight.....you cannot argue GGG won it by 3. Ryder didn't make a dent on Fielding. Plenty of effort, but just couldn't deal with the size. Clear victory for Fielding. Again though, you make a completely irrelevant point. The fact i disagreed with the judges meant that i did 'judge a fight myself'.
  9. Fielding's success has come down largely to his size, rather than boxing ability or power. Callum Smith showed that he's got, what Fielding hasn't....in every department tbh.
  10. I'm well aware it was never going to be stacked....i just don't see the point. Maybe Eddie realised he could get two fights in with regards to Chudinov? He could make Groves V Murray and then pair the winner with Chudinov.
  11. When drained, punches can affect you far more than when not. You can actually be more 'chinny' at a lower weight. Just look at Bellew as the perfect example.
  12. So you don't get bad/wrong decisions in boxing? Fielding won at least 8 rounds. Christ, awful awful decision.
  13. Split decision? Can't be serious.
  14. Really? Been pretty one sided....
  15. Feels like a Frank Warren card tbh. Average fighters everywhere. What happened to Murray fighting Chudinov at the end of last year? Forgot all about it until i saw that Chudinov has been lined up for Groves. Maybe Eddie's plan all along was to give Groves v Murray the chance to prove who should get another world title shot.
  16. Firstly, Hearn could make a show every week which would be 'worth his while'...... Your point there is pretty irrelevant. 1) There is no future 'mega fight' for Murray, at least not one which will generate £££ for Hearn/Sky. 2) Boxnation is not really designed for casual fans, and BT Sport has nowhere near the audience of Sky. Tommy Langford is not a draw for casual fans.....in fact Warren doesn't really have any fighters that casuals would ever have heard of. BJS is probably the 'biggest', followed by New signing Nicola Adams....and we all know womens boxing is a long way from take off. Tonight just seems like a huge waste of time and effort with a huge event so close next week. It's almost like the whole show is an undercard for next week...and what's the purpose of an undercard? To promote hype for the main event. Tonight will not give any kind of encouragement to casual fans to tune in next week....Although personally, i'm actually looking forward to seeing Cordina again, guy looks to have a lot of class.
  17. really? All the 'business' in boxing comes from casuals.....no casuals are going to think 'oh, look, Martin Murray is fighting, i need to watch that'. It's actually a very very poor card if you're suggesting he's trying to promote the PPV next week. Can't see many watching this, who have no intention of watching next weeks PPV and then changing their minds. If anything, tonight may put casuals off.
  18. With regards to the Groves title shot on Brook's undercard..... You have to fancy him, if he hasn't lost too much over the last 18 months with pretty mediocre fights. Losses to Froch and Jack are nothing to be ashamed of at his weight. To be honest, i thought his performance against Jack was far more impressive than Degale's. If Chudinov can't really put a dent in Buglioni, who is very much domestic level, I can't see him putting a dent in groves, who proved against Froch, twice, that he isn't 'chinny'.
  19. Hoping Rosado finishes Murray off tonight, no idea why eddie sticks with him. Bit of a joke that he's headlining a card though in all honesty.
  20. He's the sort of player that would've looked great in a 'peak' Swansea city side, and would've ousted the likes of Joe Allen there, purely based on the fact he could score goals aswell. He just isn't a 4-4-2 midfielder though, especially not at this level.
  21. Can anyone seriously give Klit any grounds for a win? Obviously the pundits are doing their usual job of hyping up the fight, but he's been the same for years. Slow, tedious....but, unlike the Fury fight, he was being matched with significantly smaller opponents with very little speed. All I keep hearing is 'what happens when Klit lands'.....He couldn't land on Fury who really isn't known for elite level power, he looked gunshy then, so how's he gonna be when facing the hardest hitting and quickest heavyweight on the planet? Joshua within 6.
  22. In the media world, the only 'bad news' is no news. All the publicity on here for Talksport is great for them.
  23. So poch now considers it 'fair', because the shoe is on the other foot and they're the 'underdog story' of this season? The scenes at our place when we finally confirm chelsea as champions will be quite amusing. Do they get a trophy for finishing above Arsenal?
  24. It would've been nice to see a gameplan though. Crolla was never going to outpoint Linares unless he hurt him early, or unless Linares didn't show up. Linares has been KO'd in his career though, would've made more sense to me for Crolla to try for an early KO than trying to survive for 12 rounds.
  25. I wish that Callum would leave Gallagher tbh. I think he'd give Degale serious issues with his size, sound technique and power, but i'd seriously lower his chances with Joe 'Just walk forward with your hands up' Gallagher. Last night Gallagher was seriously exposed in 3 instances. 1 - In the Marcus Morrison fight, it was clear Morrison had nothing left, he'd already taken a beating he could 'learn from'. Keeping him in there longer was pointless, he wasn't throwing anything powerful and was done. 2 - He wanted to pull Crolla out, but then changed his mind.......that should never ever happen. 3 - His advice after this was terrible, telling Crolla to go out there and 'use your jab'. He needed to tell Crolla, 'Look, if you wanna stay in this fight, fine, but you need a KO'.
