To be honest i think whether he ends up at Chelsea or not, i honestly cant see him being our manager come january. hell inevitabley be pi55ed off with the financial situation and lack of clarity. There's also a good chance well be in the bottom 3 playing turgid football and we’re in another pay off situation. Or he plays a blinder and someone else comes in and he’d be daft not to go. not saying I want home gone, but let’s not kid ourselves that he’s going to be here long term. I don’t see much of a bond there, even when he’s tapping the badge it tends to feel more than a little strained. his stock is high at the moment, it may be the best chance he’ll ever get if managing a big club,

I think I covered this on my reply to Hank Marvin but yeah, can’t say I disagree. I’ve felt all season like I’ve just been eating for us to click in to gear and start zipping it around. But like most while the results were coming, I wasn’t too bothered. I still maintain if we get out the league I’m not THAT bothered how. Enzo needs to be more adaptable and his stubbornness is what will hold him back. Let’s hope he’s learning.

I do get that, and I had concerns before the 10 games, but let’s take the romance out of the situation, if we go up on goal difference on the last day it’s job done. And calling for the managers head now is not going to make that any more likely. I can’t say I’m happy with how we’re playing, I’m not. I think enzo has absolutely got to change his attitude to rotation and using different systems. But how many people go in to jobs knowing everything and not making mistakes? We all learn on the job and he’s no different. If he was the finished product, he wouldn’t be managing Leicester for a start. I just don’t get the BR comparisons, that was a 2 year demise. We’re not there yet, thankfully .

Here’s an honesty moment… I voted Enzo out last night… because I was absolutely fuming with what I’ve seen. but finnegans post is spot on, and the fact that everyone disagreeing is stating how unacceptable the last 10 GAMES have been has really just confirmed how accurate the post is. its 10 games…. At the worst possible time, granted…. But it’s 10 games. no doubt he has a lot to learn and I think actually most agree on his shortcomings, let’s all hope (however likely or unlikely you think it is) that we drag this one over the line, for the sake of the future of our club.

But there’s 9 games too, all of which are winnable. Maybe a big part of the problem is having a fan base who are throwing the towel in with 20% of the games yet to go. we haven’t let any lead slip until the final day. We’ve dropped points at a really crap time, but nothing is done and dusted yet

No denying this is a tough pill to swallow but a bit of perspective. Both Leeds and Ipswich are on phenomenal runs, and runs that are probably at the stage where they’re going to come to an end before the seasons out. And if it doesn’t, then frankly they DESERVE to go up, forget about what we have or haven’t done. We are coming off the back of a rough patch.. and that’s all it is… a patch of poor form. If this patch had been any other part of the season we wouldn’t be suggesting they are bottling it. I think those laying in to enzo and the players should remember this. Any other season and we would still be walking the league. We have had ONE dodgy spell where we haven’t come straight back and on to a ridiculous streak of winning games but unfortunately there are 2/3 other teams that are also on for an incredible points tally. Whoever misses out have every right to feel hard done by.

Yeah I do get that, and I dont disagree. All I'm saying as this as with everything in this world it always seems like the blame has to be pointed at one person, generally in a senior position, with very little attention going towards the people that are actually making the recommendations all the wy up the chain - who lets be honest, will also be being rewarded handsomly.

I'm not sure it is that simple though. I'm with Finnegan that I dont say he's blameless in any way shape or form but I think its naive to think that hes solely at fault. If he negotiates too hard and loses out on targets, he's not doing his job because he's not supporting the manager If he pays the money because he's assured the player is worth it, he's not doing his job because he's overpaying. Now within that, lets be honest he should be a better negotiator because it's his job. But somebody somewhere has gone to him and probably said that Soumare is worth every penny we paid for him. Likewise with Slimani, Ghezzal etc etc. I mean this forum was well on board with most of these signings when we got them - remember the excitment when Musa was signed and was going to be better than the legend that is JV9? Rudkin has not negotiated properly The scouts have not done a thorough enough job identifying the targets The coaches/managers have not got a tune out of the players they were desperate to sign So to think that Rudkin disappears and so do the problems.... it's just not that simple.

I don’t go to as many away as I would like but went today and it seemed there were many that were more interested in giving it the biggun, gesturing to the home fans assuming it made them feel massive, than actually watching the game. Embarrassing actually. Cov weren’t much better mind you. but those that were making noise and singing did the best they could so fair play to them.
