  1. I'm no Brendan lover but why do people assume that he's lying here? Why do people assume that Soyuncu is some sort of warrior in training and poor Cags is sat on the bench because of naughty Brendan? Maybe his attitude in training is why he wasn't playing before Brendan came in. And actually I can imagine that Amartey IS someone who puts the effort in and shows the right attitude. Considering what players have said about him (past and present) BR does not seem the type to freeze people out for no good reason. Maybe I'm being naive
  2. Got to to strongly disagree with you here. We were always going to run a tight ship and try to frustrate them, and it was working a treat. Man City were getting stroppy, moaning at the ref, loosing their heads. We were undone by a sublime free kick, taken by the best in the business. After that we got after them and looked dangerous (granted, the subs should’ve been pretty much as soon as they scored, although I suspect BR chose to settle them down before going for it, at fear of it becoming insurmountable) Of all the games I have seen this season, I thought this one was tactically one of the best. It just didn’t fall in our favour today sadly. Don’t get me wrong, I still think BR should go, but I don’t believe in digging the bloke out unnecessarily when I think he actually got it right today.
  3. I do agree we’re all allowed an opinion, and also agree that if Top isn’t up to the job he should put someone in charge who is. What I’m not convinced about is that his actions of showing faith in someone mean that he isn’t up to the job - but again, its just an opinion. However, the way the post I quoted was written was so disrespectful. And the reason I didn’t reply last night is because as someone that HAS been through a similar situation it was a massive kick in the bollocks to read it, and there is no way I could give a measured response. Whether the faith that Top is showing in BR is flawed or not (I do believe it is flawed, for the record) its no excuse to call him out as a spoilt little rich kid who has always got his own way. I’m sure that Top, like me, would give it all back in a heartbeat to have his Dad back. I love seeing peoples opinions on here, even when different to mine as it helps give a bigger picture. But some of the stuff posted about Top is horrific. With the post I quoted a great example of some awful people that we have on here. I just wish people would think before posting some this stuff.
  4. I’ve written about 10 replies to this, but managed to refrain posting them. Before i give my full opinion on this, can I ask whether you have ever been in a situation like top was put in 4 years ago?
  5. What I genuinely can’t understand is why people are talking as if Youri has thrown his toys out of the pram? We all know he wasn’t at his best last year and his future probably did play a part in that as it would a lot of people, but he’s hardly engineering a move? He’s doing what he’s entitled to do and keeping his options open for when his contract expires. Sometimes I cant believe how salty our fan base is. We’d all rather this was done and dusted this window, in an ideal world we get a fee that is acceptable and he gets to go and play at his first choice. But its got to be agreeable for all parties. I’m sure Youri understands this, and id say the chances of him waiting in an airport on deadline day are pretty low?
  6. The absolute state of some of the comments on here. We’re in Europe for Christ sake, and some of you are MOANING??? Just as bad as the Man U fans thinking they’re entitled to champions league. Its a rubbish way to finish a season, but get a grip of yourself lads, seriously.
  7. Think its showing his contract as expiring because technically it does, with Fiorentina. Not sure when his deal with us expires, but I’m sure its not yet.
  8. I remember around this time last season, Chilwell and Maguire were both linked with moves away. At the time I rated Maguire much higher than Chilwell but said at that point out of the two, I would rather we sold Maguire as in my eyes he was much easier to replace (cheers Cags) I'm by no means Chilwells biggest fan, but it would be a nightmare to replace him.
