Wembley is terrible venue for England matches in terms of atmosphere. When you take England on the road up north the atmosphere is always an improvement.
Refuse to go to England games at Wembley, shite. Went to Hungary at Molineux, was decent despite getting pumped 4-0.

Highly doubt this gets moved. Nobody and I mean nobody wants to watch this. That includes us and Soton fans

Shows the danger of mispunctuation. Should actually have read "Keep woke foreign ideologies. Out defend Europe." It was celebrating wokeism while also offering encouragement to their back four
Works on contingency?
No, money down!

They benefit from never having relegation though...
No relegation renders American sport as forever inferior. Think how many pointless games they must have over the baseball season ffs

If Henderson isn't going to play come the World Cup - and let's be honest only 16 or 17 players will get anywhere near the pitch - you have to decide whether to take young players who are going as a learning experience, or players who will add something behind the scenes. When your contact is 18 months long, you do the latter.
What does Henderson add behind the scenes though? Single digit IQ

Worst thing about that result is that in recent years skybet often did money back on first race up to £10 and you'd lob it on some long odds 'no hoper'. Would have been plenty winning a grand off that

What was that last penalty from Fenerbahce
If you look at the stats in shootouts when missing = you lose and scoring = you win, they're mad.
The pressure gets to you both ways.
Can't remember where I saw it but it's something like 43% success rate vs 90%. And that's across all shootouts.
Looked online, it's actually more like 60% vs 90% in major tournaments, but still.

One thing that Atleti had on their side was the card attached to the foul on Mbappe for the penalty.
No intent to play the ball, Mbappe through aka goal scoring opportunity. Would have been harsh but in reality was probably a red.

I think English football fans are often more interested in aesthetics - "limbs", cans on the train etc - than the actual fan culture. Also not to be too puritan but how much of a role does alcohol play? I feel like every game I go to there are more and more totally shitfaced fans that often can't string a single sentence together without problems. Like I like a few beers before the game but that amount of drinking isn't conducive to a great atmosphere and is obviously not something you see in that many other countries.
Au contraire mate, see Randers.
Personally I think the issue is people aren't drunk enough. Yes you've got handfuls who are off their face but so many stone cold miserable bastards about.
When the football is as shit as it currently is, have a few beers or 10

I think we need a couple of seasons being average in the championship so that we can weed out all the glory hunters and those who expect to be entertained.
Then you'll only have people at the game who are there to support and love the club and hopefully everyone else just pisses off.
Unfortunately we know that this isn't true.
So many of our die hard fans (in terms of attendance through thick and thin) offer absolutely 0 in terms of support other than clapping players off.
As @Stadt mentioned, we need attendance to fall so it's easier for like minded supporters to gather in one place (see Scotland).

Just back from Sarajevo, did two games.
Slavija Sarajevo 6-1 Borac Kozarska Dubica in the Republica Srpska first league.
Attendance probably 300ish, dead atmosphere other than us 3 drunk Englishmen trying to get some chants going.
Zeljeznicar 1-1 Borac Banja Luka. Bosnian Prem.
Lovely old ground, 10k there and atmosphere was going off, flares and smoke bombs aots. Never seen a home support more fervently angry with the ref at all times. Great stuff.
For some reason there were only about 10 away fans, considering it's deemed somewhat a rivalry and both near top of the table. Maybe ultras boycott or weird KO time limiting away fans.

Also it’s important to point out, every club is going through similar things too. This league becoming the world league has destroyed it, the super league should’ve happened and we’re feeling the rough and tumble of it
Definitely this. English football has pretty much gone to the dogs atmosphere wise. I'm always banging this drum but Anfield last night was absolute gash. They turned the speakers to 11 for YNWA pre game then it was 90 mins of PSG ultras going for it.
Can still have the odd good moment, Preston last year was incredible but these are becoming increasingly few and far between.

For all the good saves Allison made, PSG were largely crap in that second half. Didn't create anything clear cut aside from long range efforts.
Alisson made a few great saves in the second half so can't have been that crap.
When a team is parking the bus you naturally shoot from distance more.
If the keepers were swapped last night, would have finished 4-0 PSG easy

It was a very RM performance.
Please find me stats from a game when Real have been battered like that and won.
27 shots to 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Basically PSG are just the anti-RM. Constantly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Whose idea was it to play cricket in rainy season in Asia?
Should have all been played in Dubai or UAE
Am I missing something here? 2 games binned without a ball being balled, both in Rawalpindi. Not the rainy season there?
Edit: Guess if you exclude the monsoon months, Feb/Mar is quite wet

Liv was always going to be moved but got to feel for Newcastle fans.
How many times have we played them at home on MNF in recent times?
Also Sky, nobody wants to watch Leicester ffs.
They've left Ipswich-Wolves off TV, could be an entertaining 6 pointer.

Loved Barrow's effort last night v Carlisle.
'panic in the streets of Carlisle' - reference their potential relegation to non-league. Although they won 1-0
Mad that it's a 'local derby', 90 min, 80+ miles between grounds. Be like our closest rival being Oxford United.

The worst thing about the dreadful atmosphere is that it's a vicious cycle.
Fans who actually make some noise at games are becoming disillusioned and turning their backs on going as it's no longer enjoyable. I am very much part of this group.
What remains are the BMA and NPCs who think they're 'proper fans' because they go to every game and sit in silence, then clap them off after we've lost 7-0.
Honestly don't see a way out of this. Feel bad for the younger generation who are getting into football.
Add to this the move to fully digital tickets, Spurs using facial recognition for entry (?!?!?!?!?!?!?). The game is so far gone.-

Feel it's been a poor year for the English fan scene in terms of the "active" groups. Palace and Boro have been relatively quiet and seen a lot of criticism of both online. Boro did do a cool display against Sunderland with fireworks behind the stand which was a first here. Ipswich have been quiet for their most high profile season in god knows how long. UFS quieter than the last couple of seasons admittedly too.
Other than that the rise of "groups" which are essentially just a go fund me page and a twitter account is on the rise, Villa being the worst offenders this season.
Yep Villa, Notts F and Newcastle thinking they're great. Villa running a printed tifo that effectively amounted to an advert for ozzy osbourne a new low. But all their vapid fans lapped it up of course.

Off the top of my head, Arsenal, Birmingham City, Leeds and Sunderland(probably not as much now) too.
Not the case with Blues. Yes they have a handful to the right of the away end giving it large as you look as a visiting fan but their most vocal section is the Tilton Rd end opposite. Same for Villa with north stand lower giving it large but Holte end the most vocal

Ever been ejected from a match ?
