Decided to rinse a load of worthless bronze and silver players through the silver upgrade SBC to get some common gold player packs saved up for TOTS. Opened a couple of two rare gold player packs as well and got Neymar! For some reason, bronze fitness, shooting and pace attribute cards are now selling for 200 coins a pop making it much easier to make small but consistent profits on bronze packs. Made 30k in less than an hour.

Completed him for about 25k. Haven't had chance to use him yet because I've been working away. Managed to complete the Championship SBC for around 20k total spend. The strong link between Sessegnon and Moore could be useful but would probably mean playing a 3ATB formation to get the strong link between them. Thinking of trying this if Maguire gets a TOTS card, or I could use an English LB TOTS from the Championship (assuming there will be one) instead of Rose and use the OP god that is Begovic in goal.

I think I've got a mild case of the Smuts. Completed the Japanese, Australian, French and Russian leagues over the past few days, as well as the POTM Salah. Somehow only spent around 150k to complete them all and I've got 40 or so packs saved for TOTY. Thinking of putting a Brazilian or hybrid team together with SBC Bono and SBC Cristiano at ST, and EOAE Kaka at CAM.

Has anyone else managed to qualify for FUT Champs without winning the DKT? Found this link on Reddit and I got a free qualification! My first ever WL and I'm 3-5. I now see why people get so frustrated.

Good idea. I'll give it a go. Haven't tried Birthday Rooney at striker yet, but he's been great at CAM. I tried playing 41412 narrow with a similar team but found it too open defensively and kept getting countered. 4231 definitely suits me this year.

Bit the bullet and sold the majority of my higher value players including a load of squad fitness cards which seem to be selling for 1.2k atm. Now sitting on 1.7m coins in preparation for the market crash and TOTS. Using this team of mainly untradeables for the next few weeks.

Decided to dump him into the Ronaldinho SBC and got a couple of 84s and 83s from the 100k pack. Oh well, I weirdly enjoyed the grind. I've got most of my coins tied up in 88 rated IF Icardi's on my transfer list, so I don't have the budget for another icon. Might have a look at selling most of my high value players and building a sweaty team around my untradeables.

So, I managed the seemingly neverending task of grinding bronze packs and upgrade SBC's to receive a base icon pack. It took me 3 days to do with a net spend of 10k, and that was only to buy an Aduriz and a position change to get the chem for the 85 rated squad. Baby Rui Costa ffs. Should've known I'd get the baby version of a prime icon I traded in to complete ADP (best decision I made this FIFA). What would you guys do? Keep him, even though he'll get nowhere near my team, or dump him into an icon SBC for an underwhelming 100k pack?

Managed to sell about 20 of my Kessie's for around 3k each as soon as the FUT SBC was released yesterday. Logged back into FUT later on and they were down to 800 coins each. A decent 45k profit made. Sniped SIF Martinez for 26k to replace baby Crespo at ST with prime ADP, EOAE Kaka and SBC Giovinco in the CAM spots. If you can fit him in to your team, FB Schweinsteiger is really fun to use. I play him at right CDM with a Shadow, alongside IF Allan who stays back while attacking, and his long shots second to none.

Am I reading too much into this or are EA saying that prime R9 is on his way? I'd never be able to afford him, but could mean potentially big profit on the 6 SIF Icardi's sitting in my transfer list. Also, watched Nepenthez's stream last night where he was grinding bronze pack method and upgrade SBCs in order to craft a base icon and I decided to give it a go. It definitely seems doable, if you're patient enough. I got the 84 rated squad done in just over an hour using just bronze players already in my club. Only the 83 and 85 rated squads left to do. Invested in about 35 Kessie's at close to discard price on bid a few days ago in preparation for a FUT SBC with Doumbia and/or Ibarbo as the brick slots. He's now gone up to 1000 coins each.

No, you can only get St Patrick's Day cards from the weekly objectives.

They haven't announced they'd do the same this year so I'd assume not. FUT13 SBC is a rip-off; 50k for a prime gold players pack which usually goes for 45k... Completed the Kaka SBC and he's definitely worth the 60k I spent completing him. Haven't found his stamina too much of an issue as I usually sub IF Lozano or FB Rooney on for the last 20 or so in-game minutes. Enjoying using this team right now.

Got 4/5 St Paddy's Day players so far. Only need to play another 3 matches to get the last one. Which FUT Birthday player(s) should I go for? None fit my team so I'm thinking Rooney because he's highest rated. I do like the look of Toure though. The strong link triangle with Bailly and Aurier is tempting.

I did something similar this morning. I named my team "IrishGoalsPls" and we took it in turn to score with our Irish attackers. Try playing a couple of Squad Battles games on Beginner and spam L1 crosses. Anyone used baby Crespo? Packed him in an Icon upgrade pack (only had to spend about 50k and used players in my club).

He's really good. Bought him for 105k and played a couple of games with him last night so that I could play a Prem team with Long and Walters up front. Strength not great but he's good fun. I would consider giving my left nut for that FB Florenzi to go into this team I made last night, switching to a 4231 in-game with Florenzi and Goretzka at CDM, Bailey, ADP and Lozano at CAM and Immobile at ST. Might have to give it a try with IF Bonaventura instead of Florenzi for now.

Nice. Any thoughts on what requirements are likely? Possibly high rated IFs or maybe even an Icon itself?

Has anyone else heard the rumours about EA releasing an SBC which would reward you with a baby Icon? Bought 4 SIF Icardi's last night for 62-63k each in preparation for this or FUT Birthday. Also rumoured that FUT Birthday starts tomorrow. It wouldn't surprise me if EA decided against doing any St Patrick's day promo, just as they did nothing for Movember, because Irish players heavily increased in price a month ago by people investing in them.

Just in case anyone else is interested, there is maintenance work on the train line between Nuneaton and Leicester on Sunday so it's only part or full replacement bus services.

Opened the 30-odd packs I'd saved for FUT Birthday last night. Best player I packed was Burki... Did some untradeable PTG SBCs and packed Damm, Bertrand and Dembele. Traded Dembele into the tradeable one and packed Sterling! Nice 250k from selling him.

FINALLY managed to complete the MLS SBC. In total I think it cost me 65k, not including the 25k back, so realistically SBC Giovinco cost me around 40k. Managed to fit him into this team on 10 chem and looking forward to trying him out. Decided to save all of my packs I have got over the last few weeks from league SBC's and marquee matchups until FUT birthday. Amassed 32 packs so far. My transfer list is nearly full of 83 rated players picked up for 1100 - 1200 coins and around 40 Irish gold and silver players. I just have a feeling that EA are going to go with a different requirement for St Patrick's Day SBCs this year as people (like me!) have stockpiled Irish players for weeks. I'm actually tempted to sell them all on hype for a tidy profit and buy a load of Northern Ireland players at close to discard price.
