The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Had no idea what to expect, thought it was another teenage girl movie, so was pleasantly surprised to see anal rape. Much enjoyed, 8.36/10

A 5.8 would have been harsh, while a 6.0 would have been generous, so I gave it a 5.9. How is this difficult to understand?

Because it wasn't worthy of a 6. I can say 59/100 if it makes you feel better. I know decimal places can be daunting.

Watched Shame last night. Quite pornographic, not one for kids. I'll give it a 5.9. Although I enjoyed the film, the lead character is portrayed in this outrageously dark and evil light, considering all he really does is a bit of shagging around. The way the film was shot, you'd think that kind of behaviour was enough to drive someone to suicide

Yeah, the reviews are great, so I will give it another go some time. Tbh the only reason i stopped watching is because I find the Irish accent a bit irritating and I need to be in a certain mood to tolerate it.

Finally watched The Hurt Locker and give it a 8.0/10 Started watching Red Road but couldn't finish it Started watching The Guard but couldn't finish it The Book of Eli --- 7.8/10 There Will Be Blood --- 8.5/10 Moon --- 8.5/10 Still have The Artist to watch. Also have The Tree of Life to watch. And I've been meaning to watch The Fountain for ages. Plus I want to go and see The Cabin in the Woods but the mrs is too scared.

His story inspired me when I was young and reading the book, but the older you get, the more you realise how much of a foolish, spoilt and selfish little willy puller that guy was.
