Braybrooke has grown into the game really well, on and off the ball looks good

Wormleighton has looked bright since coming on

Yfeko looks decent. He has a physical advantage over the rest but he looks a tidy footballer too.
Only 17 years old too so that physicality at that age is all the more impressive

Well turned back in from Yfeko for the assist, we look much better now

“Get the ball to Callum Hulme so he can hoof it just too far for Arlott-John or Wakeling to keep it in” was definitely the team talk

Whoever said we needed to develop one footballing identity from youth levels to first team they probably weren’t expecting an inability to defend set pieces to be that identity 😂

Nelson is injured but other than that, others you would normally expect to be involved at U23 level that aren’t:
Daley-Campbell
Godsmark-Ford
Flynn
Fitzhugh
Tavares
Leshabela
Suengchitthawon
Reghba
Marcal-Madivadua
T. Pennant

Couple really young players in that squad, Braybrooke & Yfeko have barely graduated to U18 level

The opposition:

Pennant looks really good

Some notable names not involved, Leshabela, Nelson, Daley Campbell, maybe some loans 🤷♂️

Perez has decided he’s a player all of a sudden!

Good news !!! They’ve got the 94-96 home and away shirt on sale !! Bad news though, no jade and navy 3rd kit though
That’s just leaving money on the table at this point! Give the people what they want!

Do you want to provide any context as to why it's in this thread?
“My first look was in the youth sides, but we don’t have someone there at the moment.”
Mainly that bit where he’s talking about him looking to the youth team for a solution but there not being one, considering this thread is about those teams I thought it might, just slightly, make sense to put it here.

Shows that despite the naysayers about Women's football, there's an ever increasing interest in it.
So we've sold 2 attacking players for 1 defensive one which tbf seems like it needed to be done as having an Ndidi type in the team's allows the rest the platform to play by bringing defensive security and balance in midfield.
Probably why they've had Sam Tierney up in that spot in the last 2 games as she great at reading danger, getting the tackle in and moping up.
But then by plugging up that midfield gap temporarily they've kinda had to sacrifice the defensive pairing of Plumptre and Tierney which has been sensational. They're like Ferdinand and Vidic; Cags/Lil Wes and Evans.
1 to bring it out and 1 to keep the door shut.
Flint helps us to win but these 2 makes sure we don't lose.
Could be looking at a fullback next as we've had Smith do a JJ and play in both LB and RB and the profile says 'Forward'
Make that 2 attacking players out for 1 defensive mid and 1 attacking mid...

There are a few players with potential out there, makes the tactical side of things more frustrating but hopefully some can break through that
