  1. Poor Barnes, hurt his nether regions and has to be subbed off.
  2. Yunus getting stuck in nicely, earning the Norwich player a yellow card.
  3. Damn, Keller cannot pronounce Iheanacho. His version is 'Inneeacho'. Irritating.
  4. McAteer first yellow. Who'd have predicted that?
  5. ESPN2 has Kasey Keller on announcing comms! Good to hear the bloke.
  6. Oh also, predict the minute that Hamza puts in a crunching tackle, gets the ball, but still gets a yellow card because reputation? I am going for 33rd minute.
  7. I am actually buzzing for this, because we really have no idea how this will turn out! But I expect it will be damn fun to watch.
  8. Wow! Just wow. I never even thought to look on the main ESPN channels for an EFL Championship match!
  9. As expected, the squad is being rotated (as is necessary). Interesting and exciting lineup! Lets see how Casadei, Yunus, McAteer, and Mavididi work together. Also, for us Yanks, the broadcast is on ESPN+.
  10. Re-reading this, I think I was overly critical of our performance. We played well for much of the game. The goals were well-worked and well-taken. Many Leicester players earned top grades. Southampton helped by being so open and losing some turnovers in dangerous locations, but we had to turn those into chances, which we often did. The Enzo style is quite appealing to me, and I think he is successfully teaching the team (especially the youngsters) how to implement it. I am happy that I was able to thoroughly enjoy the win, and I am enjoying that I can look forward to upcoming matches with optimism!
  11. For such an (superficially) impressive final score... We were so wildly inconsistent, especially in the first half. For short periods (5 - 10 minutes) we looked like world-beaters, next period we were shambles in our own half. We started slowly second half, and I was a bit worried. Finally seemed to grab the game by the scruff and scored the final two goals. The subs seemed spot-on. Southampton also wilted as the second half wound down. Re: Vestergaard -- WOW. I have called him Lurch for two years; I may have to retire the nickname. Excellent game, bar one mistake leading up to the sole Southampton goal. Vardy back in the goals. Lots of very promising young players, who will be occasionally inconsistent but show bags of potential.
  12. Rather embarrassing for ESPN+, their closed-captioning keeps spelling "Jewsbury Hall" for KDH. Mind, I suspect the CC production is automated... but still.
  13. Have to admit, that was a great save on the Ndidi shot.
  14. Like folks have said in the past, even when Vardy isn't scoring, he drags defenders with him and opens up space for others.
  15. Pass it forward out of the defense, please!
  16. I agree with the previous statement that this looks like it is going to be a wide-open game. End to end and definitely not boring!
  17. Justin with a critical intervention there!
  18. Keep it simple... I just want a win.
