The two things Murray can try and seize upon to win the match are Nadal's inconsistent and weak serve, and Nadal's fitness after two 5-set matches last week and a few slight injury tweaks. Having said that Nadal is a class act and his topspin forehand is unplayable shot when he finds his range. Nadal is rightly the slight favourite but a Murray win would not be out of turn. It'll be enjoyable no matter the result.

Murray looking top notch this evening, crucial that he won the 2nd set tie-break. Going to be a fantastic semi-final against Nadal. The other semi-final will be excellent too, Djokovic has suddenly hit a rich vein of form on the grass and Berdych is playing the best he's ever played. I hate to say it but Federer looked a spent force up against the heaviness of Berdych's groundstrokes. Federer is going to have to work much much harder if he's to win any more majors in his career because he's in a rut at the moment.

This is ridiculous !!

Federer wins. The moment was there for Falla, 2-0 up in sets, 4-4 in games, 0-40 and 3 break points. Once Federer had negotiated that, you always feared for Falla. That should have been the shock of the tournament right there but Federer lives to fight another day. He served for the match in the 4th but never got close really.

Federer 2 sets down!!....huge shock in the making.

Yea I was following that on live scores last night, didn't think it would ever end ........and Mahut's got another game hasn't he to qualify, I could have sworn Boggo was 2 games away not 1?

Tiger Woods is 10/1 for the US Open, first time he's been double-figure odds for a major this century apparently.
-
Hewitt beats Federer in Halle, quite a turn up that. I hope Hewitt does well at Wimbledon, he's a fantastic competitor. Also well done to Sam Querrey at Queens, nobody could have imagined a final between him and Mardy Fish considering the highly ranked entrants.
-
Murray had a mare in the tie-break, but he shouldn't be too disheartened, all the top seeds are dropping like flies. Come Wimbledon everything will turn back the right way up, the likes of Nadal, Roddick, Djokovic, and Murray will go deep into the 2nd week despite tame exits here.

That's untrue but even if I didn't know any of them I know they're a decent side and I know that both Nigeria and Greece are deeply flawed. Nigeria for all their talent are not a strong team unit and don't score many goals, Greece have looked an ageing, poor unit ever since winning Euro 2004, I'm surprised they qualified. By all means bet on Nigeria and Greece, we'll see what happens.
-
South Korea to reach at least the last 16 (or basically just qualify from their group) @ 9/4. A steal at that price imo. Argentina should top the group but I'd fancy South Korea to turn over the Greeks and Nigerians, they're an underrated team.

Only saw bits of it but it seemed like another clay masterclass from Nadal. Now for Queens and Wimbledon...

Berdych leads 2 sets to 1 in a very very strange match. Very patchy tennis from both, sublime to the ridiculous at times. Soderling frustrations getting the better of him and Berdych's serve is working the better of the two.
-
You're right it should be a cracker and it's not a forgone conclusion, but I was taken aback by Soderling today, his power should be able to counter and nullify Berdych's (slightly less ferocious) power.
-
Wow Federer out, Soderling was absolutely awesome. Federer started brilliantly and didn't actually dip too much, he just came up against someone playing superb power tennis. Would love a Soderling-Nadal final now, if Soderling plays like that he has a chance.
-
Yep, predictable from the start really. Federer won't have an easy ride against Soderling today but I still can't see anyone stopping him or Nadal, with Nadal eventually taking the title.
-
Yea some real punishing hitting in Murray's match, Chela has done well in the second set. Hopefully they can finish the match off now if the rain abates. And yes I too would like Fognini to win, I didn't see last nights events but by all means is sounded farcical as you said.

Need Murray, Isner, Baghdatis, Kohlscreiber, Hewitt and Zemlja to win at the French Open tomorrow........not asking too much am I?
-
Murray on court for a very late start.

I'm on Ladbrokes, been with them for ages and never had any problems whatsoever. Joined them mainly because I liked the website.

Anyone watching Nadal's match, just started now. He's up an early break but it's far from a walkover, the young lad he's playing looks a future star.
-
Had £5 on Andy Murray when he was 2 sets and a break down @ 9/2. Happy days. Down for the day though thanks to Feliciano Lopez for being pathetically shit . England starting with a decent line-up so I'm taking the 1/2, I need it boys.
-
Yes nice one Andy, epic win! Hopefully he can down Chela in 3 and make some real headway in this tournament, quarters would be a good effort considering his clay court form this season. Fair play to Gasquet aswell, great performance.
-
Into the 5th set we go, not a forgone conclusion, Gasquet still showing flashes of brilliance.
