Faes may not quite match Fofana in athleticism, but his composure makes him a better match for Amartey when Evans is out. Could he be a better match for Soyuncu too? We'll probably never know. I thought Soumare played better too by not having to fill in defensive gaps as much, and picking out some good passes. Overall, I saw a lot more positive passes, and even saw a few times players thought about playing backwards, but decided to go forwards instead

If only we could have a system that could fit Praet (or a right ringer) and Maddison in the same team. Just can't see how at the moment though, unless he replaces KDH

First 20 mins or so I thought it was another case of all bark, no bite, and even at half time I could see them doing another Spurs and taking advantage of our defence switching off. Very happy with the win and the performance, but slightly concerned with our defence being exposed on the counter - any good side would have had a couple of goals at least and put us on the back foot. Still, made me silence a pub in Glasgow with a shout after the first goal

Really not understanding the positive comments. Whenever I saw him he was slow to close anyone down (if he did at all), let the opposition players pass him by when they were building an attack, and rarely made himself available when we were trying to play out of defence. I lost count the amount of times he stood in no mans land, lethargically jogging around
