I haven't spoken to Student Finance today, so it has been pretty good. I have an excellent weekend in prospect. A party tomorrow night, and a "sex friend" who's parents have gone on holiday for two weeks. Beer + sex = a very happy Lee. If only, this once, things actually go to plan.......

Last year I had a number of issues too. It took me going in to the LEA to sort it out then. They guy who dealt with me was polite, and seemed educated enough to understand my complaint, which included words which had more than two syllables. I had my money within two weeks of seeing him. The problem I have is that I shouldn't have to do that. Thats what the online/telephone services exist for. Unfortunately, those who answer the phones appear to be incompetent. Maybe I am being unfair, and I've just been unlucky with the people whom I have spoken to. But based on my own experiences over the last couple of years, I have no doubt that every single one of the Student Finance staff are addicted to mogadon.

They tried to tell me that I will receive no money for 4 weeks. I asked them why. They said it was because I applied late, telling me that I did not apply until September 6th. I proved to them that I applied as early as the spring, and that even if I had applied late, it would have been their fault for not sending out the forms which second year students are supposed to receive in May. I shouted a bit, and hung up. I'm going in to the LEA on Monday, and I'm not leaving until I receive a written guarantee that my money will be in my bank account by October 1st, which is when the first rent payment on my house is due. Incompetent arseholes.

A very good day apart from Student Finance getting on my tits again. But I intend to win this particular battle with them so it's ok. Oh, and I have been invited to a 30th birthday party on Saturday night. 30th. I'm getting old, clearly.

They are absolute tits. I've just spent 25 minutes on hold for what turned out to be a 30 second phone call. The lady I spoke to was very nice, but I wouldn't have had to wait for so long to solve what was a minor issue of they fixed the message sending facility on their website. Last year, cok up after cock up left me living on hand outs from my parents until March. I will not tolerate my loans being even a day late this year, I have a house to pay for!

He is indeed. He was guaranteed that no matter what tonight's result was. I would imagine that fourth will be as high as he can go even if he wins tomorrow though.

The rivalry is different from a Scottish perspective though. England have pretty much always had the upper hand over Scotland, so their fans are going to me more hostile towards us than vice versa. In the same way that Derby and Forest are historically more successful than ourselves, and don't really consider us to be rivals in the same way in which we do them.

It annoys me that people hold this against Murray at all. So he said he wouldn't support England in the World Cup. Why should he?

Nobody here is on a Murray bandwagon. He won, and people are happy, he was the better player. Pick your toys up and put them back in the pram. So a sporting event didn't go your way, swearing at people really is a silly way to react.
