If we keep up this ratio of red cards we’ll be on 312 for the tournament.
1/4 of all players get sent off? Do you laugh or cry?

(Note: the music is called 'Pop Looks Bach' - I know this because I had to answer it in a School Quiz one time and got it wrong (I said Pop Goes Bach - oops.))
EDIT: Nope, still got it wrong - DAMMIT

It's right on the verge of ridiculous, isn't it? Right on the cusp of cultural, too.
I hope that each team has their own barely acceptable goal music.
What would you choose for England's goal music if you could?

Yeah - there's something cool about a green kit, isn't there?
I yearn for the days before neon pink and purple style keeper kits, though.
Nah - I refuse to wear that type of colour
(Yes, I judge GK strips on how I'd look in them
)
Is that enough for Mexico? You'd think so...

hosts against qualifying group winners, this isn't the expansion of the tournament, this is just how some of the world cup group stage is in every tournament
Too many people really don't remember how bad most group games tend to be at the WC. Which is precisely why I mention the Olympics, instead, because EXPANDING upon that original tournament is what the World Cup was always intended to be and do. The Olympics is the original elite football tournament that it seems too many wish the World Cup would regress to instead. That even with 48 teams, some otherwise 'decent' countries STILL haven't qualified (Italy/Nigeria/Cameroon/Chile etc.) should tell you that, if anything, it might not be big enough to still truly be a 'WORLD' Cup, regardless of what many people think. The one thing about this tournmant, though, that does differ from before, is that it has 3 host countries from the same confederation, which is how Curacao managed to qualify, though even then they still had to beat Jamaica...
To everyone complaining about the quality of the world cup? Aww, diddums, boo-hoo. The game/sport is bigger now than it ever has been, and the World Cup has expanded to reflect that. Other Sports WISH they had that 'problem'

This game is honking. Having too many teams will dilute the tournament
Then go watch The Olympics instead... The same thing gets said about a lot of World Cup Group games, even between good teams if the game itself isn't great.

Because apart from limited European space it was piss easy for everyone else to quality from their confederations

Sounds like a Star Wars character.
What type of character though? Are we talking some drunken schlop in the backgroud, a newbie bounty hunter or a jizz musician?
(I wish I was making that last one up...)

Russell was an absolute disgrace today.
How can you be 3rd in a 2-man championship? We’re watching the greatest bottling of all time.
Mercedes have got to be thinking of binning him and getting a real driver in that seat.
Is he a Spurs supporter?
