Hey Countryfox, that's really heart-warming. I'm a scientific researcher (a top-notch physicist ). I spend most of my waking hours in labs and offices. My lovely kids, my family, this forum and football are basically my only outlets to get some break from that all. But, some guys here want me to leave the forum .. shame

I think I'm right. You can't equate tons of criticism, permanent scapegoating, and sheer abuse with what is said about Vardy, Drinkwater, or Andy King. Naaah.

He is asked to: - Play as second RB and close in tightly on attackers and crossers. - Track back and sprint on every opposition counter and defend penetrations and crosses. - Move the ball forward over a 40-50 yards stretch along the flanks with no support. - Cut into the middle if Vardy is calling. - Go past two or three professional defenders. - Make accurate crosses to tall strikers and CBs. - Lead the attack. - Come up with moments of magic. - Be specialist of free kicks and penalty kicks. - Deal with the permanent criticism. - No opportunity for development. - God knows what else ... Yeah, he needs to move on, even for lesser wages.

... and he will always be under-appreciated here. He needs to move to kinder places.

You're off subject. I didn't comment on Gray at all. You were in fact trashing Mahrez last January 2016 the same way you're doing here but he proved you and others wrong. You're still wrong. NO ONE CAN put Mahrez to shame. Out of form? yes. Underperforming with this team? maybe. But Mahrez's class is on another level. I'm not trying to convince you personally because I know that's impossible. I'm just responding to your trashing of a player (in another player's thread) to the rest of us who happened to play league football.

No one can put Mahrez to shame. It's Mahrez's own doing if he is not performing to his last season standards. If you can observe with no bias, you would see that he created two of the three best chances nonetheless (the third one being Slim pass to Vardy). But then, you know best of course.
