  1. Does that not seem a bit low considering its supposed to be a hot spot. So where have these 30k come from? Doesn't sound right to me.
  2. It's like a straw man fight in here today. Might be quiet once everyone has reported each other and everyone is banned until Monday.
  3. Might explain his declining popularity in the UK. He's quite popular in the less educated countries though.
  4. Eh? I turned up at Costco and put the bloody mask on, I'm short sighted and just drove 30mins to get there. I used the mask for the half an hour I was there and threw it away when I left. I just put up with it for a bit like anyone would and adjusted it a bit to cope, get a life mate.
  5. Your such a good little humanoid aren't you.
  6. I went to Costco last week and my mask wouldn't pinch my nose, the metal thing in the top was like a plastic that didn't bend, so my glasses were streaming up badly, I couldn't see what I was buying, so I had to put it below my nose, the guy at the counter insisted I put it above my nose. I did while I was at the till, but still, it's not always people just being difficult.
  7. Bollocks do you, if you did you would not be saying that. Utterly clueless considering you work in a hospital, you should know better about mental health. You are downplaying mental health like it's something you can just visit your doctor for. Many people don't trust medical in confidence and don't want mental health issues on their record, so getting a doctor's letter isn't feasible. Some people self medicate, some people are going through severe stress or emotional issues, addictions, financial risks, breakups, homelessness, etc. It's ok saying "just get through because i have" people deal with things differently or have varying levels of coping or being triggered. Life is complicated and so are humans, if someone can't wear a mask for whatever reason, no one on here can judge that person or demand to know why. There's a reason why it's written in guidance, by people with a better understanding than you clearly have.
  8. So you've never suffered with GAD, people take medication and the mask can seriously set it off, its debilitating and though it doesn't kill you it is a serious condition. Going to the hospital while having a panic attack is not unusual. I think a lot of people have had panic attacks so know what they are like, now imagine you get them everyday or just consistent anxiety along with the agitation, nervousness and irritability. You shouldn't downplay a condition you clearly don't know much about. Anxiety is horrible.
  9. Guidance is not Law.
  10. Quite. The police are there to uphold the law, not make it up as they see fit or administer an interpretation based on the mood that takes them. It's not actually illegal to be a bellend. If it was, we would all be in jail.
  11. Makes you feel warm and secure knowing the police are out patrolling the supermarkets to catch people not wearing masks!
  12. Why would anyone put a private car through the books that's used for work? Anyway, back to Rona.
  13. Whitty and Valance are both highly paid, highly regarded scientists advising a government of the 6th largest economy on earth. ALL the data they present needs to be accurate, factual and realistic and hold up under scrutiny. What you don't do is go on TV and spout some bullshit and ruin the lives of a few million people based on the bullshit you present. They both need sacking. Fortunately, history will not look favourably on their names.
  14. Of course, but you only pay tax on the profit and if you pay yourself minimum wage and put everything else as company expense and pay a dividend whilst renting office space etc, you can still work it pretty well and buy stuff for work like cars. It's not rocket surgery!
  15. It's 40% over 50k, there's plenty of people that pay that. Most people on big contracts just incorporate and pay corporate tax at 19%. If you're "mega rich" you put money through the channel Islands or other tax havens. If you work overseas and get paid PAYE, you only visit the UK <90 days a year and pay zero. We'll all be paying mega tax soon anyway to pay for lockdown.
  16. Cancer averages 500, everyday and it's not the number 1 killer. This may come as a surprise, but people don't live forever. We just locked down the country on the back of 4000 deaths per day and it's not true. You can't see the problem with that?
  17. You literally know nothing.
  18. Who then move overseas and don't pay anything.
  19. Which country is that? UK is 48k according to worldometer
  20. That's the problem with the liberal lot. They're all about freedoms so long as it fits their interpretation. When it doesn't, freedoms are removed swiftly and without question for their own good. What a load of bollocks. I'll take my chances with the virus, liberals are dangerous bunch who shouldn't be allowed near any positions of power.
  21. Eh?
  22. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8842707/Liverpools-NHS-trust-claims-intensive-care-units-80-quieter-usual.html
  23. Surely you can have only 2.3% of the positive tests as false pos, you can't take 2.3% of total tests then subtract from the positive total. So 19,724 x 0.023 = 453 false positive.
  24. Exactly, we had a lockdown to buy us time and allow us to prepare and we are still in the same situation. It's absurd that we can't put up a covid treatment centre with 1000 beds and send everyone with covid there, no, let's close an operating theatre and put 5 beds in instead. It's pathetic.
  25. Likewise, so should lockdown lovers. Own all the misery, job losses, social and economic destruction, non Covid deaths, mental health issues, suicides and our children's lack of education. We'll own the covid deaths, which will be a blip in comparison. And here's the rub, as well as owning all that stuff, you'll still OWN the covid deaths. That's the bit that you just don't understand. You already own the 40k. https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/a-medic-s-case-against-another-lockdown This has now been done for lockdowns. In August, the Lancet published an analysis of data from 50 countries. The researchers found that full lockdowns were 'not associated' with decreased mortality from Covid-19. These are hard outcome data; reality cannot be waved away with theories or projections.
