  1. Source? Not on website Edit: yes it is Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was in the helicopter when it came down, a source close to the family has told the BBC. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-46006470
  2. I think Fanatical Frank from The Fox summer special 94 might be able to provide some brief respite from this agony. https://photos.app.goo.gl/7GbZDj4HPJP6njVm8
  3. To all those still browsing: We're in it together. Keep the faith.

  5. I hope these comfort someone else as much as they did for me
  6. Normally a lurker but it's not the time for that now. Someone kick me out of my mind. I hate these thoughts I can't deny. For what it's worth, I've got everything crossed. Thanks to all fans, regardless of affiliation, for your kind words. KEEP THE FAITH
  7. Looking back, with 20/20 hindsight as to point tallies eventually accumulated by all other teams, this is when Leicester hit certain milestones this season. 19 September 2015 following away draw with Stoke City: Not the worst ever Beat the lowest ever points tally in any League divison since 3 points were awarded for a win (11, Derby County 2007-08) 19 December 2015 following win at Everton: Survival Had more points than final tally of highest relegated team this season (37, Newcastle United) 13 January 2016 following win at Tottenham Hotspur: Better than last year Had more points than LCFC's final tally last season (42) 6 February 2016 following win at Manchester City: Top half finish Had more points than final tally of team who ultimately finished 10th this season (50, Chelsea) 14 March 2016 following home win over Newcastle United: Europe Had more points than final tally of lowest European qualifier this season (62, West Ham United) 3 April 2016 following home win over Southampton: Champions League Had more points than final tally of lowest Champions League qualifier this season (66, Manchester City) 10 April 2016 following win at Sunderland: Premier League champions Had more points than final tally of second place (71, Arsenal)
  8. Just a bit more "last time above other clubs". Some of those seasons are in the 2nd tier. Now there's nothing wrong with that, and most would probably leave it there, but I wondered when it last happened with both clubs in the first tier. So here goes... 1999-2000 Watford (12) 1-8 1997-98 Crystal Palace (10) 1-10 1985-86 West Bromwich Albion (3) 1-19 1984-85 Norwich City (5) 1-15 1984-85 Stoke City (7) 1-15 1974-75 Chelsea (3) 1-18 AFC Bournemouth - NEVER Swansea City - NEVER
  9. Exactly. Edited to include Leicester's final position in each relevant season for easy comparison
  10. Here's the last time Leicester finished above each club in this year's PL (Pyramid places above other club on that occasion in brackets; D means the other lot were a division below at the time, for these I've also worked out the year Leicester last finished above them in the same division). *Edit: Leicester's finishing position that season (so this year would be top league first place, 1-1). 2014-15 (1 year ago) 1-14 Newcastle United (1) Sunderland (2) Aston Villa (3) AFC Bournemouth (7) D 1989-90 (9) 2-13 Watford (8) D 2013-14 (12) 2-1 Norwich City (9) D 2002-03 (6) 2-2 2011-12 (4 years ago) 2-9 Crystal Palace (8) 2010-11 (5 years ago) 2-10 Southampton (16) D 1999-2000 (7) 1-8 2009-10 (6 years ago) 2-5 Swansea City (2) 2003-04 (12 years ago) 1-18 West Bromwich Albion (4) D 1995-96 (6) 2-5 West Ham United (6) D 2000-01 (2) 1-13 Stoke City (11) D 2002-03 (19) 2-2 2001-02 (14 years ago) 1-20 Manchester City (1) D 2000-01 (5) 1-13 2000-01 (15 years ago) 1-13 Everton (3) 1999-2000 (16 years ago) 1-8 Tottenham Hotspur (2) 1983-84 (32 years ago) 1-15 Chelsea (8) D 1982-83 (15) 2-3 1975-76 (40 years ago) 1-7 Arsenal (11) 1974-75 (41 years ago) 1-18 Manchester United (5) D 1973-74 (12) 1-9 1962-63 (53 years ago) 1-4 Liverpool (4) AND NOW EVERYONE'S BACK ON ZERO!!!
  11. Another trophy for Riyad! http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/10284849/vote-pfa-fans-premier-league-player-of-the-season
  12. From Coalville. Lived there til 2000. Cincinnati USA til 2005, then moved to York (for uni). Stayed up here since. First game...Some FNF game in about 1993 First proper game...Sunderland 1996 0-0 Best game...Sunderland 2000 5-2 Early days, watching Heskey on Friday nights with Filbert (bluuuuaaaaarmy). Listened to the playoff final in 1994 on a crackly car radio in Calais on a ferry trip for cheap plonk. Last game before the states, got PT's autograph in the car park just before everything went south. Used to listen to every game online until it became possible to watch every game very recently. Mostly go to non league these days. Used to go to a few home games a year when home for Xmas etc, go to as many aways up North as I can - plenty in Sheffield (like Schlupp's hat-trick debut at Don Valley), Burnley, Tranmere, Donny, Huddersfield, Preston 2007 Nils-Eric...) or if I'm down in London (Palace, Charlton etc). This season: Bury, paid on the gate. Was in the Sunderland end too as close to the away end as possible. Recently woke both my housemates up by singing the Ulloa song at 2am on return from a beer festival. I'll be back when my club needs me. Likely to be in Europe even if I can't get a ticket - even though I was in Vienna when we were bombing Belgrade. Why Neil Lewis, you ask? Collected the full set of '95 stickers and randomly picked him as my favourite player
  13. Would be happy to read a book about the magical year we finished second. Unlikely now but there'd be no shame in that. Hoping though for a couple of nice relaxing chapters at the end about players getting appearances for medals. Shame the cover looks like Jamie's about to pick his nose though
  14. Pre-ordered. Last year's about the escape was wonderful. Have you been in touch with the club shop about stocking it? Also, I know the print media is dying on its feet but might be worth advertising it in the Fox?
