Being a volunteer > being an employee > being someone who bitches about emergency services - especially when where you are volunteering places your life at genuine risk. I didn’t realise it needed explaining.

I spent a couple of years dipping in to Roker Park, a place that always rocked with noise, it’s shocking how bad the atmosphere is at the new stadium now. Football really needs to get a grip.

Apropos nothing, I used to temp with a driving agency and had to do work for TJA. They were unnervingly smiley at 7am but always plied me with coffee and toast when I rocked up. Cult or not, they always said thank you when I returned their van at the end of a shift too. Can confirm there was no cheese on the toast mind.

Muck spreading would be my primary concern.
