Good point it's a long season tbf

A shout out to McAteer does his defensive duties as well as getting a goal. Did we really need get anyone else really ?
-
It'll be a test that we should overcome, however last year they did us twice home and away. Hopefully we've done some shooting practice ( On Target ) since Saturday and we'll actually move the ball forward faster.
-
I said at the start of the revolution that it'll take time for the system to be bedded in. We've had luck on our side up until now. More work on the training ground to come me thinks. Thank God for the two week break.
-
Based on today's performance, he's an option that should be considered. Now we know he's here til January at least.
-
I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the dressing room I bet Enzo's showing his Italian temperament right now.
-
Overall happy with what we've done to date. Like most of the replies I would have liked to see a few more gone although you can't blame the players for not going. We've handed them the Contracts and the Premiership wages. None of us would take a cut in wages when you can sit it out and still rake it in. My only concern is those players will be unhappy and you don't want or need negativety in the workplace.
-
Boom ------- I waited all evening for this to be done .
-
Some more money in, and more money off the wage bill. At the end of the day it looks like he wanted the move and it also looks like he wasn't in Enzo's plans so win win for both parties. Best of Luck to the Guy. Now let's use the money wisely
-
Alot have said it's about the high wages we can't move players on. The club decides the contracts and the agents negotiate for their clients. So everyone of the players we need to get rid of, are within their rights to sit it out.

Cardiff City (H) 19.08.23 | 15:00 K.O | Pre Match Thread

As Leicester Fan from Cardiff for 54 years. I don't enjoy these games cos they're usually close with just a goal in it to separate either Team. Don't be surprised if this one's a scruffy draw. -
We're more likely to get more selling HS than JV so it sort of makes sense to keep player that fits in the EMs system of playing. Also when Coady is back I doubt either will be first choice CBs and let's not forget Wilfs played there in the past and was quite decent.

Practice makes perfect. I'm sure Enzo will see this as a game where he can get some of the "fringe" players working on the new system. -
Some good bits today in particular the assist. BUT, I remember Tete's debut goal and all the plaudits - So I'll hold judgement til he's done it on a regular basis I think.
-
He's a Goalkeeper. He's bound to make a few blunders throughout the season. I'm still not sure about the positions he takes however, he is working the system Enzo wants Today a competent performance and that tip on to bar was a Goal saver to be fair.

Coventry Home First Game of the Season
Chico1958 replied to JoachimWasMyHero's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm not putting to much into this one. A win would be great however I'll be looking at 10 games in and how we've got the team lined up and how many points we've got on the board. Let's see how it goes and let's try not to find a scapegoat if it goes tits up -
You forgot Richie Wellens
-
Just a quickie, he did have a few good games before the World Cup that probably helped however "we" didn't give him the game time, Rodgers did, "we" sarcastically applauded if he saved or caught the ball. Back to my point - Goalkeeping is all about confidence and that can come from the terraces.
-
The amount of games our two main keepers will be ivolved in this year will be a chance for both I hope. Cup Games, it will be interesting if there is a rotatation of the Two and hopefully we'll see some of our younger players involved in them as well.
-
changed OK
-
In defence of the kid, it was his first match against a Team that will score more than 4 against better teams than us this year. Their three main stikers cost more than our whole team, not counting Diaz & Gakpo. We have goalkeeping coaches to identify the kids shortcomings and Iversen, Ward & Smithies to support him as well. BUT, if we give him the same treatment we've given Ward, we may as well send him back now. Goalkeeping is all about confidence and that can come from the terraces. Give the Boy a chance.

Leicester Vs Liverpool - Match Thread KO 10:00 UK Time
Chico1958 replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
FFS we lost against possibly the best pressing team in the world and when they sorted themsleve out after 20 minutes it was one way traffic. No team in the Chamionship will do anywhere near what Liverpool can do. So there's not many positives unless we count Team fitness levels have just got better. So now we've ripped the Team to shreds lets hope for few more signings so we can give this season a go at least. -
If and it's a Big If Enzo can get him to produce anywhere near the football he did for Torino then there's a class player in there. However, the same applies to him and the others in the squad, if he doesn't want to help us and the Manager doesn't see him buying in in to his philosophy then maybe it's time to cut our losses. Nobody wants a player in the dressing room who's not on the same page as the the rest of squad.
-
I would have preferred more out by now so we could have used the much needed money to get in more of the players we may have identified. However it is what it is, and any money raised by Sept 1st can be used in January when any weaknesses in the Team will have been noted.
-
Your opinion matters, however I did write " I'll go with what Enzo does " & " he'll have an opportunity under the new boss to prove to us he can help us " If the Enzo sees something in him that we may not then I'll still go with his decision.
