Hearts are doing well in Scotland, how about trying to get their manager to join us if Puel goes. Craig Levein anyone?

A Recruitment Team that knows what they are doing. A matchday Teamsheet without Wes Morgan. Patience for Puel and our young team. There is not too much wrong.
You will get your wish, for the next two games anyway

He has to play, after all, he is the captain of Wester City.
He will probably be given a new contract and end up playing for us with his Zimmer
Sorry Wes, do us a favour and drop yourself, we all know you pick the team. Bow out gracefully

I wonder who they will line up with? That will probably play the biggest part in this game.
I think we will line up like this:
Ward
Ricardo Soyuncu Evans Fuchs
Silva Iborra
Ghezall Okzaki Albrighton
Ihenancho
Not all of those players will play the 90 (depending on how the game is going) so expect to see Diabate, Amartey and Gray coming off the bench.
I have no idea how they will line up. If they take it seriously then this is a tough game and it could go either way. If they make lots of changes then I think our lineup is very decent and with players to bring off the bench should get through. I'd go 2-1 to us, but it could go to Extra time or even penalties.
Thought it went straight to penalties if tied at full time this year

Think we were playing Liverpool at Filbert Street when they scored a cracking 'goal', only for the ball to hit the back stanchion and rebound into play, ref thought it hit the post and waved play on

Looks like now is the chance to finally get Nicky Maynard, released by Aberdeen and training with Oxford

We're incredibly lucky to have him. You think back on cult hero English strikers who actually won silverware in the Premier League era and the list is short.
It could also be said that he is also lucky that he plays for us. there were other teams looking at him when he played for Fleetwood, but it was us that took the chance on him and helped develop his game and career. Both City and Vardy are lucky to have each other.
Absolutely love the guy, always gives his all and has passion in bucketfuls
His goal against Germany with that back heel flick showed his skill and awareness.

Not until you look at the squad, I personally feel we are to light in the striker department.
Injuries to nacho and vardy at the same time, who’s our striker who will score goals.
Okazaki is a work horse, but won’t get you many goals, gray is not a striker.
Not many would agree, probably the player himself, as he’d want regular football, but I think slimani would have done a job in the new style, and offered something different, we throw crosses into the box when chasing a game, but nacho or vardy are not a major threat in the air.
If everyone’s fit, still a good 20 or so to pick from, so still think we will do ok, and a few ins and outs in jan, potential to finish higher than last season
Just got a feeling that we may strengthen in this area in January, maybe a young striker playing for some club in Belgium

We can't send him to Glasgow and expect him to become fluent.
Ok, so he comes back with joined up talking.
He will have to write everything down, there should.t be a problem there, after all, we do understand most of Rumbles posts.

Long John Silver.
Definitely one footed, not sure if he was any good at football though

They've got Man City next!
Ha ha, another loss for them then. Really cant stand Wolves.

I think the Wolves fans should lower their expectations for the season. They couldn't beat a 10 man Everton team at home last week, and lost against a 10 man Leicester team today.

If Ricardo has been bought to play right wing then why the fvck arent we keeping him! Unless you prefer a make shift inexperienced nervy Amartey over a defensively solid title winning Simpson.
Agree with this 100%. If Puels plan was to play Ricardo on the wing, it would explain why we didn't try to replace Mahrez. From memory, didnt Ricardo play on the wing for Puel before?
If this was Puels plan, then I think we should have got another right back in.

How much longer until people realize it‘s easier to spell Söyüncü‘s name as it is than continuing to refer to him as „The Turkish lad whose name I can‘t pronounce“?
Its even easier to cut and paste his name from someone that can spell it.
Söyüncü.
See how easy it is

West Ham have seriously hit this window hard! Some good signings but getting them all to gel quickly, could be difficult and their fans will be ready to turn as soon as it takes a dip.
Decent move for Drinky. Not sure why he wants to go abroad if he can stay in the Prem
He has probably heard what a fantastic club OH Leuven is and wants to join them

Wasn't that essentially what happened with Delph when he was at Villa? Skips a medical at Man City and swears loyalty to Villa as club captain, then changes his mind and transfers to Man City a week later
Hero to zero with Villa fans in an instant.
Holding on to Harry until at least January will undoubtedly lose us value if we do come to sell him later down the line, but obviously our owners think he's worth that sacrifice. We'll still be able to get at least £40m for him (I'd like to think at least £50m, like Stones) as a young(ish) England starter with several years left on his contract, after all. Losing him would mean we'd either have Morgan/Benny or a more-or-less completely new back line for this season, and if that puts us at risk of relegation then keping Harry would have been worth a lot more than whatever we would miss out on by not selling.
Sorry, but I disagree with this. If Harry has a good first half to the season, it will first of all show that he was not a one season wonder. Also if a team is desperate for a new defender in January, we all know that there is a premium to pay as teams dont want to lose their best players mid season.
-
We have managed to get a decent back up keeper, got a number 10 that we have been crying out for for years and if these 2 defenders do sign today we have massively strengthened our defence, not just for now, but for the future.
The one signing that is missing is the quality wide player (not got a good feeling about Ghezzal) Lets hope something happens before 17.00 today

Why Leicester must make a renewed attempt to sign Mame Biram Diouf
Leicester City have made a number of significant additions to their squad, with Claude Puel bringing in the likes of Dann Ward, Johnny Evans, James Maddison, Ricardo Pereira and most recently, Rachid Ghezzal from Monaco.According to The Sun, Claude Puel has failed in his pursuit of Stoke City striker Mame Biram Diouf after failing to meet Stoke City’s £15million evaluation of the player.
Claude Puel should make a renewed bid for the striker before the window shuts tomorrow. Mame Biram Diouf would provide the manager with regular goals and would be a constant threat in front of goal. The Foxes have already generated a lot of funds through the transfer of Riyad Mahrez.
Leicester should certainly splash the cash on the striker who will provide the squad with some much-needed depth and strength in the final third. Now that Mahrez is gone, the responsibility of scoring goals will fall on Jamie Vardy and the arrival of the Stoke striker will ease Vardy’s buden.
Diouf is a tall, strong and agile striker who possesses impressive pace on the ball. He is a terrific dribbler, with his bull-like presence making it very hard for defenders to take the ball off him. The Senegal striker racked up 6 goals and 2 assists in 35 appearances for the Potters last season.
He is a proven Premier League striker and would be an able deputy to Jamie Vardy. Together, the pair could also strike up a fiery partnership that would send shockwaves across the Premier League. Vardy is needs a new partner in crime and that man could be Diouf.
The 20-year-old’s towering presence also helps him be a huge aerial threat from set-pieces and crosses. Diouf’s dominance in the air suit Claude Puel’s system which involves a lot of long balls and deliveries into the box.

While Leicester City weren’t in the best of forms last season, Claude Puel should strive for better things this time around. The manager faces a race against time to complete a deal for the striker but it’s one the Foxes shouldn’t hesitate to make.
Leicester City have strengthened the squad in a number of key areas but one last signing in the offensive department should conclude a fruitful summer for the club.
Diouf forgot to sign that at the bottom

They will probably still be looking for a new defender, nobody wants to go there with Moaninho the manager

Maybe the offer of 15 million and loan him back for the season would be acceptable. This would give him more game time and experience.
I think Maguire will leave us, but not this window, maybe next summer, this would give us a ready made replacement.
