Run number 5 completed, got a bit giddy today and fastest run so far, but last 1km started to feel every bit and more of my 50 years of age. Note to self tomorrow start off a bit slower 😂
please please share across your network, family and friends, to help raise awareness and hopefully donations to this amazing cause. Remember this horrible disease takes a man’s life every 45 minutes so by the time this afternoons game has ended 2 men will have died as a result of prostate cancer.
Glad to see you completed the run today despite feeling your age. As you said, take it a bit easier tomorrow, still a few to go

I posted on here last year about my prostate cancer, but after watching that programme on BBC last night about that young girl that had breast cancer, I felt I had to tell my story again.
My raised PSA level was luckily found during a routine blood check and after checks, Prostate Cancer was found, so I opted to have it removed, I thought that was the end of it. Four and a half years later, the PSA level started to rise again, so probably some infected blood escaped, either during the biopsy or surgery. The big question is where in my body had it gone to. After a few scans, it was found in my spine, T8 to be exact. Not where you want it, as it cant be cured when it has got into bone.
At present, I am on a hormone therapy treatment to slow the growth, as Prostate cancer is driven by testosterone. At the moment my PSA level is fairly stable, but the cancer will find a way past the treatment, thats when I will get further scans to see if it has spread to any other parts of my body. This is scarily similar to the girl whose breast cancer had spread, first spine, then brain, then other parts, so guess mine will go the same. Just hoping I can be around for a few more years.
Please please guys, get checked, as the earlier it is found the more chance of beating it. Although no real symptoms, having a poor flow when peeing could be a sign. The test is a simple blood test. I cant understand why ladies have breast screening, but nothing for Prostate cancer for men.
Prostate Cancer will take sons from mothers, husbands from wives, fathers from kids, grandads from grandkids, brother from siblings, the list goes on, so its not just men that are affected. Please dig deep and give as much as you can as this will help research beat this awful disease.
Steve

Less than a week to go until I participate in Prostate United where I will run 5km each and every day of October to raise much needed funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK which is an amazing cause.
Please share, support with messages and encouragement and please please please donate if you can. As it really does make a big difference in the fight against this disease that affects Dads, Grandads, Uncles, Brothers, Sons, Husbands, Boyfriends and mates.
I will be updating daily on progress throughout the challenge.
#prostateunited #fundraising
I will be supporting you each day as I did last year.
I would like to add that this awful disease affects the lives of wives and partners as well, this is speaking from my experience.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that to happen. There's something we're not being told unless Cooper is really that stupid and thinks Ricardo is our worst defender.
Has Cooper got an 18 year old daughter that Ricardo has been hsagging
-
Is that now 20 games that Coopers teams have failed to win?

Hope you get a positive reply from them soon. It would be nice if the players and club could donate something as well.

Have you had a PSA test?
I'm 54 and got around to having one about 12 months ago. A regular middle of the night pisser, and my dad had had prostate cancer in his 60s.
Now I am prostate-less! And off for another PSA test in an hour or so, just to monitor it remains low 🤞🏼
Am keeping my fingers crossed for you that it remains low

Yeah - Nish and Woolett were the LB’s
Agree with Nish, also Rofe as left backs, but wasn't Woollett more of a central defender who was a great man marker. I remember he marked George Best out of a game. Yes, I am old

Until it is confirmed by S of E, no point in getting excited over this. If we had a South American scouting network, there are literally dozens of similar players down there that would cost a fraction of 3Om Euros. Very surprised Roma can match EPL wages.
I thought we has sent a scout, Sean St Ledger out to South America, or was that to check out the best tequila.

No idea who, but July 2nd

Not the appointment I was hoping we would make, but it has been made so lets hope he can keep us up.
Now, if my old memory is working correctly, I seem to remember lots of fans screaming for us to get him as manager when we were struggling. Now we have him, it seems the majority dont want him, so what happened to all those that said to get him in.
One good thing is his first name is Steve.
-
Dont care who we get as long as they can get us playing like the Germans tonight, no tippy tappy football for them

Sure - you're in, but you'll have to negotiate with @Bluetintedspecs about your respective roles.
I would be happy to share the role with him, joint managers.
We would sign all the players mentioned on here and play the formations everyone wants
See its really simple
