Slightly ancient ! City vs Man City in fifth round F A Cup at Filbert Street 1968.  Man City champions that season, Malcolm Allison the celebrity manager walking around the pitch prior to the game denoting with Five fingers how many goals they would score and then Man City going two up in the first twenty minutes. Rodney Fern scoring a cracking goal just before half time and we outplayed them in the second half to win 4 -3. Night match with 39000 in the ground fabulous atmosphere and probably my favourite game that I have attended. ( not at the Cup Final win or the Premier trophy award against Everton which were terrific )

I am ancient as well, as I was there and still stands out in my memory. Cant decide on this or the Seville game, both amazing

    Out:

    - Praet (permanent)

    - Mendy (permanent)

    - Perez (permanent)

    - Tielemans (permanent)

    - Castagne (permanent)

    - Vestergaard (loan)

    - Jakupovic (released)

    In:

    - Dael Fry (Middlesborough)

    - Charles De Ketelaere (Brugge)

    - Raphina (Leeds)

    - Lookman (RB Leipzig)

    - Calvin Ramsay (Aberdeen)

    New Contract:

    - Amartey

I would add Bertrand to the out list.

Can see Soyuncu going as well if he does not sign a new contract

  3. There was one incident in the second half that still baffles me (maybe I am old and laws have changed)

We had a free kick in the second half on the left wing, just outside their box, one of their players was standing nowhere near 10 wards away, we tried to pass the ball to one of our players to put in a cross, but their player, intercepted the ball and set up a spurs attack. Surely, if a defending player is less than 10 yards away and plays the ball, is it not that free kick is retaken? Or is it our fault for taking the kick insisting that their player moves away? Or maybe we just had a shit ref.

  4. Are we seeing the Tielemans that the Monaco fans saw? They thought he wasn't good enough and wanted him out. He came here and was a revelation.

Is it as some have thought, that his head has been turned and thoughts are elsewhere.

Yes, I would love it if he signed a new contract and got his form back, but we all know that wont happen

Genuinely can’t believe this. You honestly don’t think we can get a stronger defence than this one?

Justin… we have no idea how he’ll be when he returns

Ricardo… never been the same since the awful injury and gets injured tying his boot laces

    Thomas… one for the future

    Bertrand… forget it

Caglar… God knows what’s happened to him?

Evans… past his best and picks up too many niggling injuries

    Amartey… meh

Little Wes… quality but again, we’ll have to assess him on his return

    Vestie… meh

    Castagne… good enough

We gotta get a better quality of defence, especially at CB AND more strength in depth

The defence this season has been dog shit

I reckon that he has lost some of his love for the Foxes, due to us bringing in his best mate, Under, not playing him, then shipping him out. Brendan does seem to 'freeze' players out, if he did that with Cags best mate, it could have had an effect on his game.

Youri's goal in full. What a team move, and you see just how important he is to the team with several touches during the build up of the attack, as well as finishing it off.

    Class act.

That is like watching Barcelona at their peak.

  7. I am as peed off as everyone else at not making any signings as we are bare in some parts of the team. I can see us struggling with the amount of games and injuries, and having to play players in positions that are not natural to them.

Maybe Brendan will have to resort to using some of the youth players. Surely there has to be an alternative to Perez or Nacho up front, and also in midfield. After all, it didnt work out too bad when he had to throw young Thomas into the mix. If we are that skint that we cant buy or loan players, it is time to blood some promising youngsters, we cant keep putting out the same team every game.
