  1. Another one written for the Leicestershire Press this morning. More in-depth this time! Under-23s defender Justen Kranthove is on trial with Sunderland. Full story: https://leicestershirepress.com/2020/01/28/leicester-city-defender-kranthove-on-trial-with-sunderland/
  2. We've written a story for the Leicestershire Press this morning, revealing that Kamal Sowah still has a future at the club despite not holding a work permit. More info: https://leicestershirepress.com/2020/01/28/young-leicester-city-midfielder-has-future-at-the-club-despite-lack-of-work-permit/
  3. There are four of last season's U18 players in the U23s this season, five if you include Hušek. But I get your point, in that only one of them plays. Steve Beaglehole has always seemed to prefer playing the older lads, mostly. I agree it's frustrating that a lot of the younger boys don't get much game time and I'm sure some of them would feel the same.
  4. Hadn't started for Southend in the league at all this season and played just three minutes since mid-October.
  5. A few tidbits of loan/transfer news from the U23s to round up. Apologies if any of these have been mentioned. Lukáš Hušek has joined Sparta Prague on a permanent deal Raúl Uche is set to sign for Real Valladolid in the coming days Layton Ndukwu has been recalled from his loan spell at Southend United George Thomas will go on loan to an unnamed Dutch club Keep checking in to FoxesHub.com throughout January for all of the details.
  6. Sorry! Been working on the story for a while, people have been strangely quiet about it but I felt I now have enough to run the story. Better late than never, as they say!
  7. Scotland U17 international Ben Nelson has been offered a two-year scholarship with the club. Almost certain he’ll sign. Good crop of players coming through once again at U16 level. More info: https://foxeshub.com/ben-nelson-awarded-two-year-scholarship/
  8. Bulgarian second division side OFC Pirin Blagoevgrad say they have agreed a partnership with Leicester City. Really interesting story, this one. Read all the details here: https://foxeshub.com/bulgarian-second-division-side-claim-partnership-with-leicester-city/
  9. Club have hired Henry Brown from Blackburn Rovers to join the technical scouting department. Read more: https://foxeshub.com/new-technical-scout-appointed/ (P.S. Happy New Year to you all!)
  10. Sorry @Poznan34, only just seen this. Leicester took the U23s up to Glasgow for this game, there were no first team players involved.
  11. The club have appointed Notts County's Head of Academy Operations, Claire Burrows. More info about this and the academy recruitment department's expansion here: https://foxeshub.com/leicester-recruit-notts-county-academy-chief/
  12. King Power have agreed to fully fund a new national football centre in Thailand. They're sending staff over from Leicester to help with the design processes. Great to see Khun Top continuing to invest in Thai football with another interesting project. Click below for the full story from the Leicestershire Press. https://leicestershirepress.com/2019/11/19/leicester-city-owners-agree-to-fund-thai-national-football-centre/
  13. Leicester City have appointed Callum Smithson as the club's new Head of Technical Scouting. He replaces Ollie Waldron, who joined Bordeaux in March. Read our story here: http://bit.ly/SmithsonAppointed
  14. The club have appointed experienced scout Philippe Pelluault (from Celtic, surprisingly!) to cover games in France and Belgium. Having a quick look into his background, it seems like an excellent appointment. More info here: https://foxeshub.com/leicester-hire-french-scout-from-celtic/
