He has a 100m personal best of 10.5 seconds. He was pretty quick.
Wow,didn't know that!
I was really just making the point that pace isn't as important as many people imagine, the ability to be in the right place and slot the ball in is way more valuable imao.
Just got to give the bloke a chance and not get on his case instantly.

Don't think you remembered that well - Lineker's main assets were his pace to get ahead of his marker and then his finishing.
Yeah you're right on that l guess

I heard that JC is fine with the ball at his feet, but not so good with crosses.😐

Why are we bothered about his pace? All his finishes are poaching goals from crosses or balls being worked into the box, which is what Marti is after. Every striker we were linked with was 6ft plus with ability both aerially and with their feet.
We're not still in our Vardy era... the Daka era never started.
New manager, new style, lets see how he gets on.
I seem to remember 3 ex city strikers, Alan clarke,a lad called Lineker and Alan smith - none were blessed with blistering pace but they did ok l suppose..😐

Yeah, the sheer fact he appears to have a pulse is an improvement on Daka.
...and if his feet have slightly more sensitivity than concrete blocks it will be a bonus!

Seems we should keep our expectations on the low side for JC (we all have our cross to bear) a reported lack of pace is not a concern if he can tuck away chances -Daka after all has pace to burn but nothing at the end of it - if he even manages to GET to the end of a run without falling over his feet!
As a poster commented on the Feyenoord fan thread if he can't get game time with Daka and Ayew as his rivals he should retire.

Although l hate what we've become under this spoilt inept idiot, the days of good owners seem to be over in the main and the bigger the club, the worse they seem to be!
Can't see me going to another game while we're owned by nepo boy and if he sells to the usual type of modern owner then I'll be done with it permanently.
So bloody sad!

Well, that Leicester right-winger certainly looks promising... Wish this attitude inspires other players.
Skill, speed and precision. Imagine where we could've ended up last season with a fit Fatawu.
As good as he clearly is, the only way that he'd have saved us is by poisoning Van Rooney's advocaat.

Sadly in a few weeks this fixture will most probably be voided when SWFC are expelled, there is almost zero chance that they will complete the whole season.
Once again we see where ordinary supporters rank in the priorities of footballs governing bodies, the whole of it stinks, from top to bottom.

He is another barca/man city manager from what I can tell from his interview, so the club is still obsessed with that.
However he does speak a good talk and I will give him a chance as I have all previous managers, he says he wants to be an aggressive attacking team, so I am hoping that doesnt mean ping ponging it in front of our keeper and instead playing in the opponents half, will see.
The only negative l have read are the six words that make me shudder - " likes to play out of defence"!

Pronunciation sweepstake coming, how will we fcuk up this one!
I'm guessing he will quickly become siffer - enters! 🤣🤣

tbf it could be worse, Imagine being Rudkins wife
Don't have to imagine it, he no doubt does the same to her as he's done to our club. 😐

Agree......in Rugby i think the move gets moved nearer to the offending teams line(not an expert) in football their is no deterent except a card that the refs rarely use.
Also, if this was introduced in football when the free kick was say 8 mts outside the pen area and the brats were mouthing off it then becomes a free kick in the pen area - a penalty?
Can't imagine there would be much verbal bullying in such a case.

I thought that disappointment was a thing of the past with our club - being in a constant state of despair, disappointment would be a step up - but after resigning myself to Martin coming in to do a bit more lid nailing on the Leicester City coffin, the curve ball of Rohl has been pitched so often that now I'm gonna be ascending to the heights of disappointment if he doesn't come!
I'll wake up the morning after and think "yay, we got a decent manager" before the realisation of "but we still have an idiot as DoF, and a clueless boy as owner" makes me wish l was still asleep!

If it’s worth anything, a few nights back I had a dream I was talking to him convincing him to go for the job.
Will be taking full credit as foxestalks resident mystic meg
Hmm, l have recurring dreams involving Amelia Clarke bud, sadly it dont mean nuffin. (but nice). 🤪🥒🍩

It’s getting a bit disrespectful to hold onto him like this. Seems very odd that it wouldn’t have been announced that he’s gone already.
We can’t keep him in the role until we make a decision that will be months and is just an all round odd move
I get a mental picture of Top and Rudkin hiding behind the chesterfield when Van Rooney bangs on his office door demanding to talk!
The capt. Mainwaring of directors whispering " dont say anything and he'll go away" and the stupid boy nodding. 🤣🤣

Danny Ward. 52 matches in all competitions – in seven seasons with us.
£12.5m well spent.
Well, it could have been much worse... 104 matches would have been twice as bad!

Ah but Reginald is quite popular now, l heard a young mother calling her toddler over to her -albeit Reggie not the full Reginald!
I think the uptake could be Tom Hardy in Legend but definitely not Reggie Perrin.
