Back in 2012, l had a mate from Burnley and l would tease him by suggesting that SD would soon leave the Clarets for a big club - us!

He's been in our orbit for a while and once upon a time l would have been on the "gerrimin" side, but not so much now.

However, in a mini league of Cooper, Van Rooney and the gravel voiced grinder, he comes top by a measure.

The sad - no, tragic - part is that our awful owner has diminished our club to such an extent that no half decent, ambitious young manager picks us over say Soton, Leeds, or Sheffield utd, and half a dozen more!

These guys ain't stupid, incompetence and lies put people off bigtime in any business.

Dyche may be the best we can get... ☹️

Likewise l looked at the football gossip after the Rodgers relegation hoping not to see our best players names mentioned - Barnes, Youri, Madders, Castagne..

They all were of course, numerous times.

This time when l look there are NONE mentioned EVER!

Fact is, nobody fancies our bunch of second and third raters!

It's almost certain that Cooper wouldn't have kept us up ( or prime Ferguson for that matter), but...

Cast your minds back to the end of march 2015, big Nige could easily have been binned (and with our present owner almost certainly would have been).

And history would have been so different.

On such decisions the fortunes of clubs and the dreams of fans balance on a knife edge.

In managerial terms we will never know for sure if Cooper would have kept us up - very unlikely with our useless players and hapless board, but van Rooney is definitely the fool who opened his mouth!

Those people who feel so beholden to the present owner because of his fathers skill and success should maybe consider this - if, after the tragedy Top had decided to sell, and the new owners had presided over the mess we have now, would they offer the same level of support?

I think we can guess the answer.

Sadly for us, Top is not his father, he doesn't have the same skill, vision or business acumen and perhaps most importantly he doesn't have the same ambition for us, l think he has also demonstrated that we come some way down his priorities list too.

That picture of him and Rudkin laughing together sums it up for me, like cracking jokes at the graveside of a supposedly dear friend's funeral - it clearly meant little or nothing to him.

I think the best we can hope for is that he gets bored with us and sells, but l see a lot more frustration and disappointment for us supporters before this happens.

It seems to me that there are two different and diametrically opposed visions here, we as supporters want our club to be run in a professional, efficient and successful manner and for those who fail in their roles to be replaced, no matter who they are.

This is how we as ordinary working people experience life, if you are poor at your job or negligent you are replaced, businesses that keep sub standard employees fail.

But the owner doesn't appear to see it this way.

For him Leicester City is a plaything and in my opinion the most important things for him are playing with his friends and not upsetting them.

There will be no replacements at board level and if RVN wants to stay in the playroom, then the rich boy will let him.

If his wealth were dependent on LCFC being run efficiently then things would have to change but it isnt, so they won't.

No amount of protests or even a mass boycott of games will work, he has no respect for supporters opinions only his director friends.

He will sell only when he tires of his toy, and the decline will continue until that time.

Sadly l can only see a downward spiral now.

I seriously doubt that pathetic owner sacks pathetic manager much less pathetic DoF, the boys club doesn't work that way.

This is the most disconnected I've felt with my club in 40+ years, but then l feel a serious disconnect with football in general atm.

Football is just like any business now, customers like us are simply there to make the owners feel important and provide an atmosphere.

Fallen out of love big time with it all tbh. ☹️
