  1. Oxford fans are consistently singing his praises and claiming he's been their best player. Just saying. Not weighing in on him being our saviour or anything.
  2. We all know he's got it in him unfortunately. Sometimes you get away with it, like that backheel thing he tried a few games back as the last man, sometimes you don't. I reckon it's ego. That and he's a poor judge of a ball over the shoulder. There were rumours of Newcastle coming in for him in January. Wonder how that'd go if there's any truth in them.
  3. The players?
  4. Bad enough that a struggling Wolves didn't want him. Bad enough that he couldn't get into a very nearly relegated Everton side who didn't want to keep him on in a cut price deal despite having other defenders leave the club and needing reinforcements. Bad enough that one of the most maligned players in recent memory took his place for the entirety of a championship campaign and he never got a look in. Bad enough that under a new manager he still couldn't force his way into the side despite that manager favouring premier league experience. Bad enough that his only contribution this season has been to come on and give away a penalty in a 7 minute cameo preventing our first win of the season. So, how bad does that make him? Michael Jackson bad?
  5. Never start them again then.
  6. I get the complaints about 1 shot on target, but I think people are forgetting or haven't noticed how good Forests defence has been this season. It's the second best on paper so far, and that's after our game in which they've conceded. They've conceded less than the much hyped Arsenal backline and played a game more. They're not easy pickings.
  7. 2 at a time. Most struggle with that.
  8. Because you can play football in hindsight?
  9. Fatawu with 2 men to beat again. Someone needs to give him the option of the extra man.
  10. The game has turned on it's head. They've come out and upped their game. We've gotten incredibly complacent.
  11. Not sure how they've had so much space there and a 4 on 4.
  12. I've already used the "we always score" line...
  13. Too relaxed from Winks.
  14. Well, I guess I was getting too positive!
  15. Neville and Carragher both singing our praises. Makes a difference from previous games where pundits were saying it looked like a training exercise.
  16. Fatawu makes a massive difference, and offensively he's not even on it. He is available and ready to run at them every time we have the ball. Despite that not bearing fruit so far, it scares the absolute shit out of them. All he needs to do now is mix it up more. Go outside. I think the fudge up where he rolls it for Buo who isn't making that run stems from the link up he had with Wilf last season. They did that a lot, but they're not on the same wavelength yet. We've pressed as a team at times, passed it through the lines. We've looked like a cohesive unit. This is much better. We look like we're playing for 3 points instead of being happy with what we've got which has been my biggest gripe with Cooper. We've conceded from a sloppy passage of play, but I prefer that to just sitting in a shell and inviting them on for 45 minutes. Carry on in this manner, we'll be laughing. Hopefully tonight, but over the season I'm sure of it.
  17. Shame Buo didn't play Fats there. Think he wanted to change it up, but that was the time for it.
  18. Carragher needs to change his underwear at half time.
  19. Might be on instruction though. At least one wide outlet type of thing.
  20. Good idea for the FK, shame it didn't come off.
  21. To be fair to JJ, he's not getting the same level of help Riccy is from his winger.
  22. It only takes one moment of magic...
  23. Agree. He's not on it when we're not on the ball.
  24. Fatawu is doing fine. He's not getting the best of it at the minute going forwards, but he's getting the ball a lot and they're having to defend him in numbers, which helps us out from a defensive standpoint, to which he's doing well as well in his individual battles and covering Riccy.
