Watching Derby this week I’d be amazed if they win even 3 from 4. They’ve punched all season and I don’t think they’ve got a lot more to offer. Promotion seems nigh on certain but we need to win the thing now.

Is that right wow. So no bowler before this has ever taken more than 13 in a match. Obviously it’s some return but still surprised sometime somewhere nobody has like done it. Brilliant week for the lad.

No way we’d have gone close to winning this without Rehan. His contribution has been ridiculous. Along with the left armer for Derby they’ve been the only two bowlers to look threatening.

I’ll be surprised if they score as many as they did in their first innings. This pitch will be even worse to bat on. 150 a decent score by tomorrow if it lasts that long.

These kukaburra balls are making for some big first innings scores.

Is there a reason why the Middlesex game starts on a Sunday and not today. Would have surely made sense to utilise both Saturday and Sunday for the four day game.

Tbf this was the sort of wicket we wanted pre game. A draw always suited us more than them but got our hopes up after the first innings we might extend our league lead a lot more.

I was sceptical myself but the team would know they were an opener, who top scored in first innings missing, and it’s proved to be a great decision.

Bat this last session with a maximum loss of two wicket and we can look tomorrow to really build a decent lead. To be ahead in the match so comfortably from where we were overnight is a massive achievement. One of these pair scoring big now ideally.

Chances of us nearly being in front at end of play today. That would have seemed impossible at 11am.
