If he was worth £90k when he was signed he is still worth it now. Either you pay the going rate for decent players or you go down the pan. He showed that he was worth it.

We need to demand answers from the Club. They have no choice than to explain themselves.

A tragedy. Gutted.

The bit that bothers me most is the suspended sentence. It seems unfair to have this hanging over us at the beginning of next season. Surely the system is in place that would penalise any further contravention next season anyway, so what is the point? And what are the terms of that additional deduction? In what circumstances and by whom would this be made?? This just seems utterly vindictive to me.

What a mess! They are clearly not fit to adjudicate. I think this seriously undermines the ECB decision and we have good reason to continue to challenge. Watch out Essex!

It’s been a hell of a ride but I don’t blame any one of the players. There’s no shame in coming runners up and it is still a great achievement to reach the final. Far from criticising individual performances I want to congratulate the whole team for a great tournament, thank them for the entertainment and commiserate with them for their loss. It will be hurting them more than us.

What a ridiculous decision to let Cox go. He has played a great season of cricket and is utterly dependable with bat and gloves. He is great to watch too. Gutted for him and staggered that he hasn’t yet found a new home for his obvious talents.

And Blake certainly doesn’t fill me with confidence! Really poor signing. No way is he a remotely worthy successor to the brilliant Ben Cox.
