Alfonso called the pitch unfit for T20 cricket in his interview. It was far too bowler friendly. I don’t think the batsmen were to blame.

Very good point. I thought the boys performed very well with the ball and showed that there really was two sides in this game. It’s not a disaster. Playing T20 is like crossing a minefield.

It’s so good to be reading these positive comments from people. If it reflects the feelings of the majority that never post anything anywhere but probably just talk about it with their mates, the Club can only benefit. Let’s just hope that form and weather keep being conducive!

I believe that Ian Holland is going to be playing in the US Major League competition which runs from 12th June to 6th July (or 13th July if his team progresses into the finals) . That rules him out of the next two rounds of the County Championship and most of the Blast.

It turns out that this is the highest score in second eleven T20 history!!

I see that Louis Kimber has gone big this morning for the second eleven in Blackpool v Lancashire getting 153 off 75 balls out of a total of 222 in the first of two T20s today. Bodes well?

I believe we last won a CC match at Lords in August 1980.

I won’t allow myself to get excited until we’ve got Roland Jones back in the pavilion.
