Didn't we ironically sing boring boring Leicester under O'Neill because that's what people called us? 😂
Cooper's track record is a world cup at youth level and has a promotion to the Premier League.
Some of you are way too dismissive of him. Not saying he's going to be anywhere near as good as O'Neill but he could be. But as we seen under Rodgers, what the fans think has absolutely no baring on what the club do anyway. So it doesn't matter that much.

they need to act like it then
you need to accept that people will choose to watch football and support their team which ever way they want and that may be not the same way you like

Ahahaha, we'll see if you still think that at 10 past 3 on Saturday
i don't think anyone's reactions 10 minutes into the game will change my opinion that 99% of the ground will know it's a big game

Might be a good idea for @Union FS to put out a social media message about creating the atmosphere on Saturday. Just push it home for a few people over how big this game actually will probably be in our season
people know it's a big game ffs

Can you read? Someone said he'd been our best player for the last 5 years, that's clearly not bloody true is it.
i can read thank you very much, which hasn't been the greatest of pleasures reading some of your posts over the season to be honest. there's plenty of conjecture in the original post. he could have been the best player in the squad despite being injured. if messi was injured now for the season, he'd still be the best ever player in the history of inter miami.

In his previous three premier league seasons, he managed to start what I think was a grand total of 17 games (or around that).
22/23: 453 minutes | *Whoscored Ranking: 23rd
21/22: 994 minutes | *Whoscored Ranking: 5th
20/21: 959 minutes | *Whoscored Ranking: 15th (Justin was 4th)
Ricardo hasn't been the same player since 19/20, he was one of the best players in the league then. Sensational. I'm more than happy for people to want to see him play, but building him up like he's been anything close to the player pre injury is frankly just ignoring what's been in front of us. And I fail to see have someone making 5 starts a season on average could even come into the conversation about being our best player.
*I don't rate who scored, but in the absence of any want or time to search out a million metrics, I've just used it here as an example.
Ok, as you’re so determined to take rudkin’s and cooper’s Bobby munk, ricardo’s shit and best ever decision to not play him because of an injury 3 years back. Bravo cuck

It's not a big achievement, but they've nagged at the club about this and gotten a result of some sort.
The trust is bashed for not nagging at the club or winning battles; here's an example of the trust pushing for some good for fans.
yep, agree, can't knock them for getting this done, end of the day it's the clubs choice

Just wonder if it could be tactical, I know plenty are not keen on Cooper (no Forest accusations) but not picking Ricardo seems self defeating if Ricardo is anywhere near his best. Cooper has proven not to be irredeemably stubborn as he picked Stephy last game (Although you could argue that was because assumed favourite BDCR was not back from internationals….)
if it is then he's even more tactically inept than first feared. i think cooper made the call very early in. think it was the Shrewsbury game where Ricky was used as a high right back but hardly went forward or backwards, and the ball certainly didn't go near him. he looked dejected that game and Ricky has never been like that for us. knew he wouldn't get away with blanking a senior player and fans favourite for the tranmere game as well though

You did what I specifically said I did not want, your childish name calling….
Do me a favour, block me, you clearly have nothing useful to contribute.
I've told you, it's pure stubbornness on Cooper's side, either he can't back down from getting it wrong or he's already got an agenda like Rodgers had with Cags, either of which, makes him a ****ing idiot. and to highlight again, it is not an injury or he wouldn;t have played the whole of the Tranmere game...

Agenda against Cooper due to his Forest link ? Only a brain fart from Coady cost is a win on Saturday, would the venom still be the same we won ? Any one on this Forum expecting anything other than a relegation scrap are sadly deluded.
here's another bringing up the forest link, and yet again we only hear anything about the forest link from people trying to defend cooper. enough of this, there's plenty of valid points made either side of the argument so stick to them

Souness was a good player as well as dirty, but I guess that's somewhat true of all players as individuals, I think the reference was to how to play with the ball at your feet as opposed to how you play within the team structure. Otherwise it would end up like a kids game with everyone chasing the Ball all over the pitch.
But yes Football seemed so much less complicated and easier back in the old days.
we used to have some belting games on the park and all pretty much played where we was supposed to as appointed by the captains, we had to unless we wanting a kick in from the big kids

This is it. When JJ has been underwhelming, even in the scope of a single game and having Ricardo on the bench. Why not sub Ricardo on? It’s baffling, but not interested in baseless name calling, genuinely interested what the reason could be in Coopers mind? Must assume it’s either tactical, strength or minor injury concern that wouldn’t keep him from the bench. (No idea what such an injury could possibly be mind!)
you really struggling with this so much? IT'S. PURE. STUBBORNNESS. FROM. COOPER.
either he doesn't want to admit he's got it wrong or Ricky P told him he's a ****ing idiot. it's ain't injury that's for sure, or he wouldn't have played the whole of the Tranmere game

There was an article recently by Graeme Souness, saying what happened when he signed for Liverpool. (Who were England's top team at the time).
On his first day at Anfield, he asked the manager/coach how they wanted him to play.
He was abruptly told "we didn't pay good money to tell you how to ****ing play football. Work it out for yourself".
The good old days, eh.
probably explains why Souness became a shite manager then

Not a fan so far. I want Ricardo playing and Fatawu and Mavididi on the flanks. He just needs to forget about full backs becoming the winger and tell them both to sit.
But he is getting some big calls right- Ndidi pressing high up the field and being a physical menace being one. I wasn't sure it would work (Aston Villa being a case in point) but it does as he compliments Vardy well.
I'm hoping with the signing of Édouard we can replace what Ndidi brings in games just higher up the pitch. Therefore, we will be able to play one of the new 10s and Édouard or Ndidi and Vardy.
His in game tactics worry me most. Most established Prem teams have a bench of 'options' and can adapt systems to hurt the opposition. We've got players that can change games but no plans/systems to revert too. I think we will be out manoeuvred regularly in the second half of games.
almost as if all his actions are reactive instead of proactive
