  1. I think part of this is simply holding your nerve. What makes football so fabulous is that the unexpected seems to happen a lot! 99 times out of 100 you beat us last Friday. The footballing gods are just having some fun with you right now. Although me and my mates were baffled by your tactics. At about 30 mins our left back went off injured to be replaced by Edwards (who went to right back and Mumba came from right back to left back). Edwards is Mr Argyle and was the first signing of the new Argyle 5 years ago in League 2. He was slow in league 2…..and has now lost any pace he had. We feared for him against your left winger. But not once did he try to go by him. All he had to do was knock the ball past him and run….that would be enough. Every single time he cut inside toward 2 or 3 more green shirts leaving an acre of space on the wing. It was baffling that someone didn’t tell him to just go buy the fullback as he’d have gotten to the byline every time. Even as the added time went up we were saying “if they get 1 they’ll get 2 and we will lose”. Score first in your next game and you’ll win by 4. Hold your nerve and you’ll be fine. It will make the promotion sweeter for the suffering you’ve gone through!
  2. As an Argyle fan I can second this. Two dives / falls in the box on Friday is poor form. Both times he would have had far better options by staying up and running at our centre half’s who turn as quick as an oil tanker. However, you kindly spent most of the game passing the ball around in front of them so they looked good on the telly!
  3. There are positives! If we both stay in the championship we will get a repeat of El Snackico. 🤣
  4. With all due respect….which miss are you referring to? this one - https://x.com/lcfc_b/status/1778883684793229494?s=46 He also missed one from two yards out at the near post where he put it past the far post. It was incredible that he managed to get it past the far post from that angle. Around me, we had no idea why your manager left a striker on, whose confidence has gone, in such an important end of season game. Surely you have better options on the bench?
  5. Just seen this. It’s a funny old game. I wonder where we will all be in 8 years time….
  6. As a Green that kick off was astonishing. It looked like the two players decided to take the mick out of us rather than get playing.
  7. We don’t have the quality that you have. Not one of our outfield players gets in your squad let alone team. But we have our heart, determination and guts back as a club (and a little luck) now that Foster has gone. “Rubbish” feels harsh.
  8. It means everything to us. We have our club back - the one Schumacher built. Not one of our players (except maybe Cooper in goal) gets in your squad but every Argyle player was a colossus tonight. Under the recently sacked Foster we would have lost that game. He’d have spent all week telling us that you were the best ever Championship team with great players and we should enjoy the experience of playing you….. We’ve gone back to accepting that we have the lowest budget in the Championship but that guts, determination and desire go a long way….as well as a little luck! Best of luck for the rest of the season.
  9. Union street isn’t the posh part either! Head to the Barbican. Good pubs and a view of the sea. What’s not to like!
  10. Argyle fan in peace! We have had a bonkers season. Upto Xmas we were the 4th highest scorers In the league with fabulous attacking football. Scoring 6 against Norwich being a highlight. Schumacher than left for the money at Stoke and we appointed the most miserable Southgate clone you could imagine who switched our 4-3-3 to 3-6-1-0….thus no goals or shots at home. A win and a draw since his departure has perked everyone up. The chairman said the man who was interviewed and the man who became Head coach were different people! We have the smallest budget in the league with a chairman who won’t go into debt. We won league 1 last year with a mid table budget. Our aim is to stay up this year but it will be very hard. The fans are right behind the team who will give everything but we lack quality at this level. Few Argyle fans expect anything but a defeat but it would be typical Argyle to beat the league leaders at home when we haven’t scored a goal at home in ages. (Tuesdays equaliser was an og). Best of luck tomorrow but I do wonder about promotions sometimes….essentially you get promoted to have a season of getting beaten every week!
