Some of Sussex over appealing and over celebrating has been a total embarrassment.
-
Rested as a precaution for Saturday or definitely out?
-
How do we reckon we might line up on Saturday? Patel Budinger Hill + Ackermann Mulder Ahmed Kimber Scriven Wright Salisbury Hull What do we think?

Finan has a long term back injury. No great loss.
-
Strange signing unless we are looking at him with an option of investing in him next season.
-
Put Robbie Keane in for the Wolves Ireland section and it said I was wrong…?

The departure of Nico has Nigel Pearson and Thai orgy vibes 🦊

Fox Road Stand for the rowdy mob 🦊

Forecast looking more wet now. It’ll be a good toss to win.

Looks as though just shy of 500 tickets have been sold for Tuesday so far if they ticket numbering system online is anything to go by.

I’m sure this was noted last year and the two sides in the final both stuck with the players that got them there. Ideally, we play Worcestershire in the final after beating Gloucestershire in the semis (we owe those cheating f***ers one)

He’s officially retired now and moved to UAE, so unlikely unfortunately… 🤣
-
I have heard Handscomb won’t be here for the final should we make it, and we can’t replace him with another overseas either.
-
Does anyone know if the semi finals are pre drawn? As in, do we know which winner of which quarter final we will play?

Ultimately, the scheduling has a lot to answer for. It started this year with the outrageous 11am Thursday T20 blast start at Lancs. Why can’t they spread fixtures more evenly over the course of the summer? Do T20 double headers on Friday and Saturday nights? One Day Cup spread over 8 consecutive Sundays or an occasional Friday day/nighter? The only cricket we had in July really was 2 county championship fixtures. The ECB want counties like us dead and they do a pretty damn good job at trying with the scheduling. Andrew Strauss can come up with all the reports he wants but they still don’t see what fans really want. I know it may not be for the purist, but surely more T20 blast fixtures on more accessible days and times would be far more beneficial for the future of clubs like ourselves. I started off by attending a couple of the Friday nights about 8 years ago and now I’m a full member that tries to get down as often as possible. It seems the best way to gain interest initially and get much needed funds into the club kitty.

In regards to Sunday, I saw Yorkshire at 90/8 having played football in the morning and thought about not bothering 🤣 only the Yorkshire tail wagging made me go down for our innings. Perhaps some more had the same idea. As daft as it sounds too, it was in essence a dead rubber (in a way as qualification had already been ensured).

I think quite the opposite in the long run… you only have to look down the road at Coventry to see what it did to their football club.

Scott Steel to reappear like Jesus Christ and step in for Ackermann? (We know this won’t happen but as a good bat/spin option would be the most sensible option) Pushing Kimber to 6 and Scriven to 7 and bringing in Ramji significantly damages our batting attack for me. Personally I’d bring Swindells in at 7. Alternative Walker and Ramji depending on conditions. Budinger has bowled spin too before? Haven’t seen much of it but could this be an option?
-
More beneficial for his development perhaps to stay with Leicestershire and play in the one day cup

He cannot kick a football. You think Iversen is bad, then you haven’t seen Odunze. -
Welch is playing in Zimbabwe isn’t he? He’s due back any time now I think and would be straight in for Budinger I imagine
-
Anyone in particular you’d back for a red card Shaun 😅
-
It’s Henderson that has an issue with Steel, not Nico. Steel has better bowling figures than Ramji and is a good bat. It’s a shame that certain figures can’t bite the bullet here for the good of the club and involve Steel for the one day cup.

Am I correct in saying that only Ahmed and Parkinson will be missing for the RLODC for that tinpot tournament? (And I wonder if they will allow those not selected in a match day squad to return to their clubs to play as they have with Potts and Tongue against us…)

Lloyd Dyer in a 6-0 home win against Ipswich. Poor old Bradley Orr was on loan from Blackburn, remember him twisting and turning, falling to the deck, he just couldn’t get near Dyer. We had 3 or 4 big home wins over that couple of seasons and each one of them Dyer was unplayable.
