Majority are still local or have been with them a while. The core of them are Leicester lads.

Harborough gaffer has a box at Spurs and become pally with Sandro. He’s also not taking a wage for it… fair play to him
-
No surprise the bloke from Foxes Pride got picked is it. I’ll pretend to be completely shocked.
-
Even when we win you all find excuses to slag him off and blame him for something. The witch hunt is getting embarrassing now.

Let’s see where we are at in 4 games time. Before the season started, I think all would have taken 17th place, so why should the objective change now? Do none of you remember the total dross served up that saw us stumble over the line at the end of last season? Guarantee that style of football would have us straight back down like Burnley the previous season. Give Cooper time.
-
In fairness, both Asfordby and Allexton lost players over pre season following promotion.
-
He’s gone home after “medical assessments” by our medical team have suggested he can’t play in the final two games. In other words, either he can’t be arsed or we’ve sent him packing early to save a few quid.

Our bowling attack is so far off the pace. Has been all season, really struggle to take wickets.

I found Claude Henderson’s video rather insulting to be frankly honest. I’m with the general consensus here in that I’m sure we could sacrifice not having 2 overseas next season if it means the club becoming more financially stable. I think I speak for all when I say that I’d be happy with just Handscomb for County Champ and one day cup. Rahane’s wage has been a waste. As was the fee paid to Stirling when Hill or Swindells could have deputised to equal effect. T20 is the money earner and a good start in that leads to bigger crowds for the latter matches so a gamble on overseas in that could be argued to be worth it, which poses a further dilemma as personally, I don’t think Handscomb’s game is suited to T20. The loan of Green from Somerset is odd when we have Wood and our own Green chomping at the bit. As others have suggested, plenty of ways we can save money but the club seem to be ignorant to them lately. Sam Evans, a man in form too, give him a shot now Handscomb is gone. If the club bring in another overseas to replace him when we have 3 capable batsmen twiddling their thumbs it won’t be a good look.

Better than Hamza Choudhury and Soumare

But he’s ok to post his 16 mile runs on Instagram

Membership prices for next season… 🤣

Realistically, how many of those seamers are fully fit and/or available? And realistically, how much are we forking out towards a loan? I’d imagine it’s quite a minimal amount anyway as it’s beneficial to both the player and Somerset at this moment in time.

A game where he started on the bench because he was so woefully out of form. The Maddison love in from our fans would have you thinking he’s on a pedestal alongside the likes of Walsh, Elliott, Vardy, Mahrez… -

No, fans like yourself are soft. Weak minded, accept failure. You probably clapped them off after relegation. You are everything that’s wrong with our pathetic woke fanbase. -

Where shall I start with the attention seeking dwarf. Cov fan, derby shirt wearing, penalty missing, back pass assisting, play like that we’ll be just fine, sulking midget that constantly went missing (or injured) when the going went tough (like he did last night). A key cog in our relegation. Good riddance, every boo and chant aimed at him fully deserved. Achieved nothing with us. -

Early I know, but last night emphasised the stroke of luck we’ve received in Enzo leaving and getting a proper manager in. We would have lost that last night, 0-2, “but we would have tried to play football”, with the fans bored to death. Wasn’t it lovely seeing us line up with a flat back 4 of organised defenders, no inverted nonsense, getting early crosses into the box, breaking at speed. And a lovely little bonus was not bringing that headless chicken Choudhury on when defending a lead - bonus! Plenty of positives to take away, but, that’s given me the hope that I expected when I said Cooper is the man to keep us up. -

I think the sarcasm from your mate must not have come through on text… -
No squad announcement still…
-
Also, assuming Holland is ineligible, the only way I see us balancing the side is by having Kimber or Hill (or even Scriven!?) open to squeeze the extra seamer in (Wright if fit or Wood).

No Abbas in Hampshire squad

England Lions are playing at New Road on Friday, so Worcestershire would likely be away regardless…

I think that everyone besides the ECB have noticed that the schedule is poor. If I was in charge, I’d float the idea of the County Champ becoming a 3 tier format, 3 divisions of 6 teams and 10 games. Expand the T20 and invite say 4 qualifying minor counties sides and Ireland/Netherlands. Play the T20 July/August. (On a side note, how ludicrous is it that there are 9 teams in each group currently but only 14 fixtures played…). Keep the one day format as it is (although, I’d argue it is my favourite format and 4 home fixtures, of which one is at an out ground anyway doesn’t feel like enough!). Despite being a traditionalist, the game has evolved and white ball cricket is the format that draws crowds in and entices young faces into following the foxes and cricket for life. The ECB should be doing everything to get crowds in for white ball fixtures at county clubs.

Just be grateful that we never have to watch Michael Finan play for us again please

Just looked at the scorecard. An embarrassing start, which is great to see. Long may it continue.
