Blasted through Twenty Twenty Six on the plane last week, BBC comedy skit about the world cup in the states, thought it was surprisingly funny.

He's under massive pressure to succeed, if he doesn't then his own reputation that is already hanging by a thread will be in tatters, the only positive I can think of.

What do you want him to say?

He will 100% be sold, just forget him.

Whilst I agree - all this monotone bullsh*t that comes at new manager press conferences....what are you expecting him to say otherwise?

Is there any solution to it?..
Probably - but any sort of solution that isn’t hold hands and sing Kumbaya, or deflection to another “issue” will probably get you banned…so no…. not worth bringing up any potential solutions.

I think there would be a few different opinions in this thread if that was your husband/wife/sibling being beheaded in public!
It’s always good to roll out the distraction techniques when something like this happens.

Misplaced anger for the most part, given what you hear as to why some go on the protests.
Hopefully they will be distracted by the World Cup soon and head to Wetherspoons and start lobbing garden furniture about instead.

Don't think that's a bad fee at all (if we get anywhere near it). Someone is buying potential.

After the complete disaster of sponsorships, does anyone have any faith we’d even sell to the right people. We clearly will just take the best financial deal which will likely place us in the hands of someone bad/corrupt . Wonder if we will end up BC game fc
It will be to whoever offers the best financial package - they won't sell to someone at a lower price because they want to leave it to the ''right people''. That's business, even Top and his advisors will realise that!

Strange how BBC have turned off the comments section for the article.

How do you know King in particular has had a negative influence?
I don’t know for sure - but the fact is he’s been part of the coaching staff that has overseen the biggest decline ever in the history of our club, he only gets a pass because he’s a club legend.
We haven’t got the time or the money for him to be sucking a decent wedge every year, we need a reset in all departments and he isn’t immune from that.

No I didn’t realise that? Thanks for clearing it up.
He’s been part of a coaching set up that has rotted since Maresca - need a clean slate and they all need to go.

Thrown under the bus for a role he wasn’t ready for with a bunch of players who let multiple managers down but yeah let’s kick one of our greatest legends out the door …
Give me a reason to keep him here then?

Engineering is a popular and growing subject at Universities, particularly within home students given the decline from overseas. Speaking from my own experience in the sector, Aerospace and Mechanical are particularly popular subjects with high numbers so you are correct in saying there is so much talent coming through in these areas that can achieve this.
Shame a lot of the defence work isn't particularly profitable vs commercial aerospace, and comes with a tonne of extra hops to jump through even compared to commercial.

I'm glad you wrote 'extreme' example because comparing a guy that forgot 2 dogs in the car to someone who butchered 3 people is pretty mad
Hence extreme? Nothing to see here but thanks for the reply.
Maybe if you were a dog owner you’d understand the severity of it.

I rarely agree with your posts, but unfortunately your last paragraph is correct.
It is correct - an extreme example is the guy who stabbed 3 people to death in Nottingham had MH issues, he isn’t let off because of it. I feel sorry for the guy but to leave two dogs to die in the car and then nothing is done about it? Doesn’t sit right with me.

Wish they’d ****ing get on it with whoever it is
This is the wrong approach - getting someone in in May or 1st July makes no odds, but I understand your frustration- taking our time doesn’t mean we are carefully selecting an appropriate manager for the most important season for the past 20 years - it probably means we are doing f all in the background.

MemSaab was buzzing last time I went. It's a chain but much better than the ones I've been in previously. Recommend the ostrich starter
