  1. There’s no actual evidence we’re thinking of any of them.
  2. They have no intention of selling us.
  3. The previous poster suggested that Smith didn’t improve us, which is objectively untrue. If you feel underwhelmed by the idea of him rejoining that’s fine, but the suggestion that he didn’t make us better is nonsense, as the facts show.
  4. In the eight games prior to Smith joining us we got one point; the eight games he was in charge we got nine. His points per game record would have kept us up comfortably over a whole season. But sure, he did very little to improve us….
  5. His odds haven’t shifted in days.
  6. What on earth are you talking about? Emery walked in the door and vastly improved them with exactly the same squad. I’d be content with Smith.
  7. Speak to any Villa fan. Not only did he not get the best out of their players, most of them actively loathed him by the end. He’s an appalling man manager and tactically clueless.
  8. Somebody on here wrote, probably jokingly, “I’ve heard it’s Gerrard.”
  9. BetVictor seems to be the only firm running a book on it at the moment and the shortest odds they’re offering are 5/2 on Martin followed by 4/1 on King, etc—ie, very similar to what the rest of the market was offering earlier. So whatever spooked the other bookies into suspending their markets doesn’t seem to have convinced BetVictor that anything is happening. It wouldn’t surprise me if the others start offering odds again soon.
  10. Yep, guaranteed relegation.
  11. Lincoln have the lowest possession stats in League One and are second in the table, meaning they must be very good at using the ball effectively when they get it. Sounds good to me.
  12. Read the article. It's literally just Pete O'Rourke's personal opinion that the two losses might not have helped King's chances. He doesn't even claim to have spoken anybody with any knowledge about it.
  13. We didn't fail last season and there's no indication we will this season, so this is one area where the club seems to have learned its lesson.
  14. You won't. If you were capable of learning you'd have quit being a Leicester fan long ago. Just like the rest of us, you're still here because you will never learn. We're a band of boneheaded brothers.
  15. Market suspended on betfair too. Interesting.
  16. I'm more inclined to believe he doesn't know who we're going to appoint and has made the 'really ambitious' comment simply to imply that we're a big club with big ambitions etc, and he's being deliberately complimentary about us because he's either being considered or would like to be considered.
  17. He actually has a fairly solid track record of leaving teams in a much better state than he found them, having done this with Burton, Birmingham, Derby and Millwall. Whether he could replicate this with us is open to debate, but there would be more logic in appointing Rowett than many of the other names linked with us.
  18. If Rowett knows he is getting the job and has gone on TV saying that our next appointment will be 'really ambitious', then I would have to grudgingly admire his self belief.
  19. Of all the 50 or so names listed by the bookies in the 'Next Leicester manager' market, the worst three are Martin, Gerrard and Coleman. I'd rather King stays in charge than any of those three take it.
  20. Why? What possible reason would you have for wanting Gerrard?
