Elvis Costello and the Imposters at Birmingham Symphony Hall on Saturday. Hoping he revives the Spectacular Spinning Songbook.

Betting scam on the number of red cards.

If that was violent conduct we will see a plethora of red cards in this competition.

Didn't Spitting Image portray David Sullivan as a slug?

I agree that he'll probably leave one way or the other but I think "bullied week in and week out" flies in the face of him clearly being the best player on the team is many games - even though most fans seem loathe to admit it
The bar is incredibly low. He's the best player on the team at making himself look good.

Greedy six club picking off the best young players rather than developing talent. Won't be long before they're singing "he's one of our own".

Sideways and backwards...

When I heard they were selling bar blades I was going to buy one for those dodgy nights around St Martins, but I wouldn't stand much chance with the bottle opener it turned out to be.

Jarrod Bowen saying next season is all about getting West Ham back into the PL. Meanwhile his agent is on the phone to PL clubs.

Sky giving it all this "can't be allowed to happen again" bollox about Spurs. They are desperate to protect the big six.

Hull fans just need to invade the pitch now to end the match.

That was one of the worst penalty shoutouts that I’ve ever seen.
A shoutout for how bad it was.

In a game with so much money doshing about, I don’t think a financially penalty is any real deterrent to possibly gain points.
Knowingly cheating to get an advantage, you deserve all you get. For once, I think the efl have got this spot on. Especially adding in a points deduction for next season as obviously they may have gone on to lose in the playoffs anyway. They have compromised the whole league tbqh.
Targeting clubs who are in administration and already suffering with a points deduction is 1000 times worse than this.
Totally agree. Southampton's faux outrage at the punishment is beyond belief. They stood to gain £200M through cheating.

For the integrity of the competition, they should have just promoted Hull. it doesn't feel right that Middlesbrough get a stab at the final. They will have had a disproportionate amount of time to prepare against a known opposition. Something Hull won't have had the benefit of.
Perhaps they can allow Hull to spy on Middlesbrough to even things out a bit.

Inexplicably lenient decision to not red card Havertz.

When are they meant to do a 10 year anniversary match ? In a years time ?
At least they got the year right. I've seen some sports teams count the date they are commemorating as year 1, so they end up celebrating the ninth anniversary.

What gigs are you going?

Just back from the gig. The sound was muddy and the levels were all over the place. Elvis's voice was bad. The full band songs masked his vocals, but the acoustic section exposed his deficiencies. He was often well off pitch. He redeemed himself with some rousing favourites as a finale, but generally it was disappointing and saddening. The support was Squeeze's Chris Difford, who was brilliant and a real treat.
