  1. Yeah looks like he’s completely oblivious… https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cyy9LEko5-W/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  2. Unfortunately it appears there’s a very specific set of criteria that must be met in order for us to sing: - Not too hot but not too cold - Team playing well but not dominating possession. Counter-attacking preferable. - Opposition must be good - somewhere between us being underdogs and slight favourites. - 85 minute match so people aren’t worrying about missing their evening plans too much to sing. - Ref must be biased against us. - Away fans must be up for it. Anything else I’ve missed?
  3. Recycled Ben Marshall chant from over a decade ago!
  4. Not convinced it affects the atmosphere at all if I’m honest. Goes from a silent occupied seat to a silent empty one.
  5. Why have they only released fixtures up to the weekend of 20/1? According to the below they were obliged to go to 3/2. https://www.efl.com/how-to-watch/tv-game-selection-process/
  6. For me one of the worst things about people not singing is that they have to fill the silence with their ridiculous opinions on the game or our players. Yesterday, I had the unfortunate experience of having to endure one bloke calling us pathetic and/or a disgrace every 5 minutes (can’t imagine how much he enjoyed last season), calling Mads a useless cvnt for daring to not boot the ball out of play and then demonstrated his superior football IQ by saying ‘see that’s what happens when we get it forward’ after we scored. Well done mate.
  7. Last night I actually thought it started pretty well (in WU3). There were some good renditions absolutely belted out and the acoustics in the upper tier made them sound pretty loud to me. Sadly that lasted about 10 minutes and the rest was absolutely pathetic. I’ve done Burton, Liverpool and Wednesday away this season and all three are contenders for worst away end you’ll see.
  8. With apologies to the old school FT posters in this picture… if you hate it as much as most of those shown appear to, the question must be - why bother?
  9. Especially considering the last 20 minutes of each game are when we seem to play our best stuff when the oppo open up a bit!
  10. 10 minutes It’s 2 at an absolute maximum. What are they supposed to do, tell the ref and oppo to wait a sec whilst they celebrate with the fans first?
  11. This is probably the general assumption the club makes about kids at matches but from what I can see they don’t want the shit sanitised experience either. My 10 year old has been to two away games this season (Burton and Liverpool) and he’s come away from both annoyed that there was no singing section. That tells you everything you need to know about the state of our ends…
  12. This is absolutely true and ridiculous. The club are shooting themselves in the foot long term by a) not addressing a nonsensical priority points system and b) not releasing tickets for general sale. Add the nonsense ‘collect your ticket with ID’ shite and you’ve got a whole heap of reasons the away ends are getting worse before you even start blaming those actually in attendance.
  13. To be fair, I think they just moved him to a different area as surely there would have been more uproar from his mates etc if he’d been ejected. Still a bit ridiculous for stewards to even engage with him, mind.
  14. Can’t just be me who is fascinated by the Ultra fan scene movement across world football so well worth a thread in my opinion. Amazing how much influence these guys can have over their clubs, how political in-fighting between the same group of fans can cause civil war and how sophisticated groups (largely) made up on lunatics can get. I find it interesting to see where their method of support is mainly influenced from – for example the Grobari at Partizan Belgrade and Vak S of Feyenoord base themselves on English fans of the 70s whereas most Greek clubs are predominantly Italian in style. Anyway, seen a cool tifo? Heard about a controversial boycott or protest? Whack it in here… I’ll start with a club fairly close to my heart – FC Basel – who put together one of my favourite choreos from last season to mark their 200th game in Europe. ‘Know where you are from, appreciate what you have’
